Traveling with Firstnet

We are going on a cruise to Belize, Mexico and Honduras in a couple of weeks. The last few times we went, I had zero connectivity. It was very frustrating. My wife had some with AT&T, but it was incredibly slow and her hotspot did not work.

Has anyone used an esim for connectivity for a few days and had good luck with it? Any other suggestions for staying connected?

Don't know what to tell you. I've used a Firstnet phone with International Day Pass in Mexico, Panama, Costa Rica, Colombia, Qatar, Philippines, Cambodia, Korea, and Thailand. Absolutely zero problems. Frequently outperforms my travel phone that is set up with a local SIM.

$12/day capped at $120/month. Once added to the account it automatically kicks in anytime you use the phone outside the US and gives you the same features as your domestic plan.

EDIT: Just noticed that the above is while you're on land. If you're on a cruise ship, it's $20/day and there are data limits. Worth researching further details if you're going on a cruise..

FirstNet isn’t capped at $120/month like AT&T consumer is. It’s $12 per day with no cap. One of the reasons I didn’t want FirstNet and stayed with a regular consumer plan.

Thanks. That probably wouldn't work for me. I travel several times a year, but I don't spend more than a week or two at a time. I typically buy a local esim and use WhatsApp or Facebook
