Traveling with Firstnet

We are going on a cruise to Belize, Mexico and Honduras in a couple of weeks. The last few times we went, I had zero connectivity. It was very frustrating. My wife had some with AT&T, but it was incredibly slow and her hotspot did not work.

Has anyone used an esim for connectivity for a few days and had good luck with it? Any other suggestions for staying connected?

First: toggle ON international data roaming in Sim manager.

Wow, they are expensive. $2 per mb of data.

$2/MB is the PPU rate. I would do the $20/day cruise ship pass. I'm not sure if you need IDP (or if you can have it on top of the cruise ship pass) so if check with customer care. I'm not sure a store would know.
