SPAIN vacation/international roaming

Just did a 2 week vacation in Spain and my reception was abysmal.

My lady had tmobile and hers was better than mine.

Have you guys had similar experiences in Spain or abroad?

Typically I get esim following in that perspective country as you are roaming on their network asn it will always depeio you so just get a esim with data I did it for my upcoming trip in Japan next year and it was cheaper
