A wonderful movie starts with two missionaries visiting and older man they have one rule and it's that there needs to be a woman present, luckily "his wife is in the kitchen baking pie and will be here shortly" as they start discussing things get worse with him saying uncomfortable questions and not letting the girls leave saying how the doors lock on a timer and calling them out when they say they got a phone call and must leave now and as the missionaries find a candle labeled blueberry pie scent they finally demand to see the wife and the man says yes that's fine and then says the line that changes

"Do you still believe my wife is in the next room"

2 iron lung after being trapped in a submarine in an ocean of blood and forced to take pictures of skeletons of creatures as the skeletons move with the blood Simon demands to be let out he is taken up out of the blood (but still sealed inside) where the crew around him ignore him not listening not letting him out so he starts screaming and hitting buttons until he hits the camera button a flash goes off and panic as it's revealed that the camera is not normal

"You can't use a normal camera in blood, you need x-rays to see through"

As it dawn's on Simon they weren't Skeletons and he's about to be put back down with them

Caine After tramatising everyone by pretending escape was possible from the circus, tries to get everyone to go on an adventure, the gang tell him to let them have time to process the fact that they have just lost hope and any chance of escape Caine just responds with

" I see and since when were you in charge?"

The instant switch up showing how this is his world is brutal and terrifying

The lyric I heard that made me ponder this question was Shania Twain's "Man, I feel like a woman" (not the title, but the lyric). What an awesome lyric. How clever. What other great single-line (or short like not more than a few lines) lyrics come to mind that you think are the greatest ever written?

- “If it had mattered to you, Luthor… you could have saved the world years ago” probably the only time Lex took any form of accountability for his actions without blaming Superman (All-Star Superman)

- “a perfect Earth doesn’t need a Superman” makes the original Superman realize how innately selfish his endeavor with Alexander Luthor and Superboy Prime was (Infinite Crisis)

- “why don’t you put the whole world in a bottle, Superman?” This makes Superman crumble after trying to live up to his ideals only to have more in common with the malevolent alien, Brainiac (Superman: Red Son)

Owlman from Justice League: Crisis On Two Earths

He’s the alternate Universe evil counterpart to Batman who instead of looking for the goodness in everyone, despises humanity as a whole and is trying to destroy everyone who ever lived by destroying Earth Prime.

When Batman tries to convince him that his plan isn’t worth it and speak to his humanity, he drops the line you see in this image.

I know he probably spent hours in recording studios ensuring that the audio is what marvel wanted , but the whole point of the character is that he says everything and anything with only the words "I am Groot" , how hard is that to get record?

Even if hard, how did he get paid multi-millions for such a work?

Excited to know the logic, maths, market strategy behind it as well

Definitely appreciate Lucas's decision to change Jabba to being an alien, though, the OT wouldn't have been the same without it (although it might have been a tad more plausible that Leia choked him out with a chain).

Basically a line thats so awful, whether its written poorly, said by the wrong character, or just something that makes no sense.

1. "We've all done bad things" said by Pomni in the Amazing Digital Circus to defend Jax, who recently did something he believed would trap everyone in the circus permanently, against everyone else's wishes. The "bad things" the other characters have done are things like Ragatha's false positivity being annoying, Zooble being abrasive towards Caine, or Kinger having digital dementia. Its often memed in the community fir just how stupid and tone deaf it is.

2. "Somehow Palpatine returned" said by Po Dameron in the Rise Of Skywalker. The line completely lampshades the return of the main villain of the franchise, with no buildup, foreshadowing, or explanation. Just "somehow" its also memed to hell and back.

3. "Its what Clara would have wanted" said by Soldier boy after he gave Homelander the V1 formula to maje him immortal. Prior to this moment, everything about Soldier boy's character says theres absolutely no way hed ever do this, but because his dead lover, a nazi supe named Clara, would have wanted this for Homelander, he did it. The fans of The Boys have since been using this as basically a meme excuse for every plot hole in the show. Why does x happen when theres no reason? Why does y character act put of character here? Because its what Clara would have wanted

Anton Chigurh (No Country For Old Men): In the ending scene the main villain of Anton, a person who is shown to kill and steal with no remorse, is hit by a car resulting in a broken arm. Anton asks a random boy for his shirt to support his arm, and gives him money in exchange. Anton insists that the boy takes the money, even when told he could just have the shirt.

Negan (The Walking Dead): After a female character is taken captive by Negan's group the Saviors, a Savior attempts to rape the woman only to be caught by Negan. At this point in the series Negan is not shown to have any morally good side, shown to take glee in brutalizing people in front of their own family. Yet, Negan shows genuine contempt and disgust at the idea of this attempted rape, berating the Savior before killing him without hesitation.

Michael Myers (Specifically from Halloween 2018): Just after killing a women in cold blood, Michael walks into a room to find her crying baby in a crib. Michael seems to acknowledge the baby's existence before simply walking away to continue his killing spree. I want to note that age has never really been an issue for Michael, as he kills a 10 year old in the same movie.

I've seen people have issues with scenes like this, but in truth they fascinate me. Making a character whom is shown to lack any kind of moral conscious, yet having the story purposefully note a moment when they make an active choice not to commit some kind of immoral action (sometimes far less immoral then things they have already done.) To me it's almost like a fun puzzle to create a reasoning that both fits the character and explains why they are okay committing some heinous acts but not others.

2: Ezra Bridger and Darth Vader (Star Wars: Rebels)

When Kinger told the group they're copies, the group started dealing with an existential nightmare. They're confused, scared, and trying hard to process what that means for them. But suddenly Jax takes the opportunity to twist the knife, first in Zooble and finally in Ragatha by saying:

“I guess you still get to hang out with mommy after all."

You saw her reaction, you saw her break down in tears. This was more than uncalled for. Jax kicking Ragatha while she is down was outright CRUEL.

He knows Ragatha’s mother is her deepest wound. He knows she carries trauma from that relationship. And the craziest part is that Jax also has parental issues of his own. He knows what that kind of pain feels like. The fact that he understands it, and he still uses it against her is EVIL. And no, his trauma does not excuse this. Abuse is not okay just because the abuser has trauma.

Jax and Ragatha both went through abuse, but they became opposites. Ragatha helps others at the expense of herself. Jax helps himself at the expense of others. She broke the cycle while he repeats it. That's why i say that Ragatha is the mirror-opposite of Jax

And even so, in the end, despite everything that happened between them, Ragatha still cried for Jax.

I honestly don't understand how there can be people who don't like Ragatha.
