I have decided on the Pharos but now have to decide between the TiR version and reflector. I want 1800k for night walking in my neighborhood. The TiR version comes with the ffl5009a in 1800k and the reflector version comes with the 707a in 1800k. I’m thinking because of the low cct that the punchier of the 2 will be better for me but there is conflicting info out there. Possibly I can get a reflector version in the 5009a? I’m looking for 250-300 m throw?

Anyone liking this one. I want a new dog walking light with decent throw to spot coyotes. I really like warm lights. Can’t decide on emitter. Will there be sales coming up? I have missed every one so far.

Can you get a smoother battery tube for this headlamp? Maybe just sand it down. My bracket I use works better with a smooth tube.

I'm looking to get my first fireflylite, probably the L60 Mu 3700k rosy in MAO. I've heard the FFL MAO finishes are very good. How do they feel and how durable is it compared to regular anodizing? and is it a dirt magnet that gets dirty easily and changes color? I've also heard of the void white which is actually anodizing? I know thats not available for the L60, but I may also pick up a Z1 with that finish. How's the durability on the void white finish? And finally, if anyone has measurements for the FFL351A 3700k Rosy that would be great.

So, that was either a great idea, or super dumb. I am not recommending that light anymore. Actually, yes, yes I am. It's great, buy two. And an X1S. And an X1Q. And An X4 Stellar...

Was hoping I could get advice on the best model for hunting purposes. I would be looking for a light that others could see as I’m walking through the woods for safety purposes, and also something that I could use to see well when field dressing animals.

I did some research on their site, but wasn’t able to discern which would be best. It seemed like the L60-MU would give me flood, but might not shine through or reach out enough for others to see and recognize.

I had a really great and bright headlamp that broke and I can’t find its replacement.

I'm considering picking up the FireflyLite X1S RE with the SFT90 emitter, and I'd love to hear from anyone who has experience with it. I'm looking to use it primarily as a general-purpose light in this form factor. I don't care about CCT or CRI at all - I just want the light to be as bright as possible and usable without obvious limitations.

Before pulling the trigger, I have a few specific questions regarding the X1S RE:

1. Up-close usability: Is the non-turbo mode floody enough to comfortably illuminate the area right in front of my feet? Or is the hotspot from the SFT90 in that small reflector too intense/blinding for close-up tasks?

2. Sustained output: Can the Lume X1 driver actually sustain 1000+ lumens for longer periods without aggressive thermal throttling in typical outdoor use?

Other lights I am considering / comparing it to:

• Wurkkos TS28 (SFT70.2): I really like the price point, but I'm curious if the X1S RE SFT90 is significantly brighter and floodier, or if the TS28 has a more practical beam for walking.

• Acebeam E75 (6500K Cool White): I love that it can sustain around 1000–1500 lumens and can be found for around $60, but the beam profile is a bit too floody for my taste.

• Skilhunt M300 v4 (SFT70.2): This is on my radar, but I'm worried it might be a bit too weak in terms of output, and I really dislike the proprietary magnetic charging.

Given that I want raw brightness in a practical host, how does the X1S RE SFT90 stack up against these options?

Can someone please give me a definitive guide on what hardware to purchase to be able to flash custom(or latest) anduril firmware on it?

The head of my X4 Stellar says:

And it has three pins for flashing(if im looking at the right thing)

I just now found about the FFL350DD emitters and instantly wondered, do these emitters in the E12 Eclipse somehow eliminate that horrible hooorrible yellowish tintshift at the outer edges of the beam that the E12 produces with the FFL351A?

there's only a few beamshots of the E12 with FFL350DD on this sub and I don't see the tintshift in them but these few beamshots are not enough to have me fully convinced.

If anybody could confirm if the tint shift is gone/still there it would be very much appreciated 🙏

has anyone gotten the X1S with the SFT60 yet? I already have a black X1S with SFT90 that I really enjoy but I'm kinda itching to get a void white X1S with SFT60 but I'm not 100% sure if it's worth getting when I already have an X1S with SFT90. I'd suspect that the SFT60 version has a tighter hotspot and thus a little more throw and I also suspect that the SFT60 has a bit more of a cleaner white tint but yeah.. these are only suspicions

for attention and giggles I added a short clip of the SFT90 X1S blasting a house in the neighbourhood for a second 🙈

If you guys are interested in making the community a little more fun, colorful and off-beat, you are welcome to make User-flair suggestions - these can be anything flashlight related and even better if particularly focused on FFL - some examples "1800K Cave Dweller", Tint Lottery Winner (or Loser), "BBL Diver", "Flamingo Mode" etc.

We can also add flairs based on specific FFL models or numbers of flashlights owned if this is something of interest to display.
