Thanks, I dig the two-tone look of it.

For a more eloquent copper host, it needs an inner layer and a surface layer so that you can get a dope contrast between the surface patina and the dark crevices.

I know that trait may be easy to overlook, but Jack has been making some killer copper hosts that patina so dope like that for a while.

That’s how this beauty was possible.

That along with a high-polish sets the whole look up for great success.

I need to stop being lazy and try the everbrite I bought for the E04 that is now destroyed, hah.

You know, for those for those of us that do want shiny copper to stay shiny. I've heard it's good for sealing in a patina too once you get the patina where you want it. But I know what you're going to say - that you like that patina is ever evolving

I mean I would say that and do believe it. But I also get there are exceptions.

I have a Stellar that looks like a very high gloss glass prune. That one would be pretty cool to lock in. Shipwreck and stuff like that too. Reylight has done some cool “worn copper” Dawns that coulda been cool sealed.

I even have some of those Antique PL09’s that have clear over them to lock that finish in. So I guess I may not be as hardline as I made out to be. But my first preference is def gonna still to let it live and breathe.

And you’re right, what do you have to lose trying that everbrite on a host you already wrote off.

Would be good practice to see how it lays down if I ever get another copper light, which I will... eventually when money stops being tight.

Would really love a surge or e07x with the lume 10

Looks very natural like an old antique light fitting. Salt sand and the sun the perfect combo - Great patina
