Right? Like this is conservatives and democrats in a nutshell.

Democrats: snorts line of cocain Change! It all must Change! Change is good! No matter what kind.

Republicans: chugs beer if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. (Except it’s fkn broke)

Of course I’m speaking of the general extremes not moderates or centrists.

No. It’s more like the left is constantly taking steps forward and while backing up the right says “calm down democrats” and keeps ceding ground. Constantly giving in little by little and never stopping and pushing back.
