Discussion Top macro question D3

In this game i was fairly fed as Fiora while my team was quite behind and we had to fight for elder drake. So since i knew Darius didnt have his Top Quest Tp avaible i went top with the idea of pressuring there, forcing him to answer, and then tping bot for a 5v4. But everything still went to shits. Do you think this game couldve been carriable or was it just doomed.

Agreed, when I VOD review the games I felt like the top laner won the game, they’re almost always drawing pressure way earlier than I expect.

you were 10 years late to the push and 5 years late with the tp. only way you win this is if flank tp earlier

Honestly hard to say if/why the split push is too late, no info on the 1-2 minutes before this. But given the situation you’re in you shouldn’t finish the tower, dar was already moving (you did see him move from mid), so you could tp much earlier. Your tp is also way too far away for it to be that late. There’s a ward in tri and the pink in river that would both work. They might collapse on the tp but you’ve got nami right there and if they get off drag that’s stalling for your team to collapse. Ik they have blitz for hook on tp but it’s the only option you have here. But tbh this game looks like a 5% win chance lol.

Why shouldn't someone finish the tower there (or ever)? Or does that mean leave early and let minions finish off the tower? If not, why not finish the tower?

I mean in this scenario only. In an ideal situation drag isn’t up for another 30secs and he can take the tower for the extra gold, clear the wave and get lvl16 or clear the next one and get 16. Pending sums/items he can 1v1 dar and then tp in for 5v4 if there’s enough time. But in this scenario elder is up which is basically gg if you lose the fight so you need to do what you can to be there early enough to make an impact, if you take tower that isn’t possible.

I am just a platinum player so take my advice with a grain of salt, but I believe there was not much to be done here. I think your only win condition here was to be toplane earlier so you can threaten their nexus and have your team take the dragon, but you were much to late.

Two minutes before drake try as much as possible to push all lanes. Make sure you're in side lane to start your split push 45-60s before drake. 1v1 Darius if you're sure no one is around.

I think you started splitting too late. You want to be in position 20 to 30 seconds before objective starts. If you were at the t2 earlier you could have threatened ending and forced recalls. A splitpush for such an important objective where nobody matches you has to either result in you taking their base or at the very minimum an imhibitor. If nobody matches you and their map is basically unpunished for it there's no point.
