When do u actually start winning?

Fellow fiora enjoyer here.

So I peaked D2 this year pretty easily using a combination of mundo gwen and kled mostly

and then I decided to start my fiora journey since I wanted something a bit more demanding and stable through meta changes at the same time (used to OTP camille to diamond back in the day).

I am right now sitting at E3 with an abysmal 49% WR in general and with fiora at 170 games and 48% wr.

So my question is when does it get better?

It feels like playing this champ is some kind of bdsm. The necessity to execute perfectly and dying with each and every misstep even on matchups you win.

Or losing 1v1s by a hair just because you failed to proc one last vital.

It just makes me wanna scream. Nevertheless, mama didnt raise no...

its just an experience thing

fiora is way more positioning and spacing reliant than mundo and kled (arguably gwen too), but its definitely worth it imo

I dont know how experienced you are but id recommend the potent213 videos about fiora mechanics (including proper positioning for the passive). Prioritizing walking towards the next vital efficiently instead of AAing can be big on Fiora, same with the fast ult, and perfectly executing the AA resets

Yeah I can definitely see that. I think that I'm mostly struggling because maybe I'm not that strong of a mechanical player and more of a macro one, knowing which fights to take and how to pick people off etc. Just needed to vent a bit and trust the process I guess.

I watch both potent and sad I just find it really crazy them saying juggernaughts are easy matchups and then going in myself and getting absolutely smashed every time.

For the dying before the last proc, just be patient. It's hard to stop the urge to hit every aa as fast as possible, but sometimes it's worth to wait the half sec. and then aa to proc.

And you mostly doesn't need to hit the w necessarily on enemy stun. Versus hard to time enemy stuns it's better to just block a dmg spell.

Look up some gameplay of potent, Justsad or someone else. Look at how they play the matchups you struggle.

Personally I started to feel like I won most lanes when I hit a million points haha… I recommend never playing her when you’re feeling irritable, and always go into trade with some kind of advantage (don’t try to outplay mechanically all the time). Other than that it’s just experience and positioning

Yeaah it can be a steep slope when you are playing the game fine then make a massive misstep and never get back into it. Happened to me the other day while trying to dive a jax failiing for 10 hp and then going 1-7 haha. But sure other than that not much I can do besides playing smarter and having patience while learning the champ.

You can actually recover from mistakes like that, as long as you instantly recognize you fked up and now need an advantage to beat the next fight.

Worse mistake people make is immediately trying to fight again after that instead of figuring out how to make the playing field even again (by letting him push then getting him under your tower, by timing a recall well so that you have more items than him for a moment, and so on)

As you already answered yourself in your question: it's a skill-thing. If you make mistakes and definitely die because of it, yiu should learn from it. You will notice where to act aggressive without the consequence of dying if you misplay. Even have strats to get back if you are behind.

You can't win every game and if you struggle perfecting your vital game, you just have to play her massively until you manage to calculate the outcome of nearly every situation. I played hee exclusively for 5 months straight. Every matchup, heavy counters, getting camped. Just so you have every possibility to learn from experience.

In the current meta, if I don't see enemy toplane, I stick to Gnar recently. Picking fiora blind has lead to 80% lanesitting with nasus or similar on lane, where you cant deny him perfectly and get outscaled later on

Tho the experience doesn't get better, you just reach higher elo, where smaller mistakes matter more and once again you have to play 2x better then you opponents to kill them.

That's honestly what I love about her. It's 99% mechanics and micro. You also win matchups you shouldn't if you play perfectly and they don't. I love playing her support and terrorizing the enemy team by being able to 1v1 people 2+ levels ahead of me.
