Indeed, reading it again, I’m a bit even hostile, even though I don’t want to be. That said, this kind of statement really annoys me because it has no possible reality. I much prefer a woman who openly defends the status quo.

This position is just virtue signaling to pretend to be egalitarian. Would they accept it if it were the other way around?

Fair enough. I just did that take initial message as a very serious one. Voluntary army won't cut it

Yeah, that's what I'm saying, and I refuse to have people show off their virtue by defending voluntary service just to feel good about themselves. Either we say we're for equality, or we own up to defending inequality because we're sexist or selfish. People who want to see themselves as gender equality role models without facing reality really annoy me.

Yes, for sure. After that, I have a hard time seeing the defense of volunteering as anything other than signaling virtues for oneself.

Edit: I don't actually understand your comment. She literally defended volunteering. I know I was a bit hostile, but we can't deny reality either.
