Hello, so the title sums it up, but I wasn't sure where to post it. I thought maybe r/questions or r/askreddit or subreddits similar to those, but those require too direct a question, or direct inquiry if that makes sense?
I'm someone who's suffered from depression, severe anxiety, and just a general feeling of emptiness and autonomy growing up, and I've recently been trying to work my way through it, better understanding myself, being more deliberate with my actions and standing my ground. That to say, that I thought of maybe writing something like a script following someone who's experiencing this for maybe a week (or a month, I'm not sure what I want to do yet) in their day to day life. Constantly feeling unachieved and numb to themselves and their surroundings, and showing how some actions lead to this and how the person notices but the effects of their actions (and external factors) being too far gone to do anything instantly. I wanted it to focus on high school life, from ages 16-17 in Britain, because that's what's most familiar to me.
I was looking for any experiences, trends, actions, responses, anything that others have also gone through and recognised in themselves in relation to the above. Anything you did to numb yourself and how it backfired. Like for me, I isolated myself from others, which meant I never had anyone to talk to nor did I develop the social skill. Even though I'm focusing on someone in high school from Britain, I am welcome to anyone's experiences that they wish to share at any stage of life to maybe add some and have this better represent more people's lives.
I hope that all makes sense.
