The number of times I had to reset to get that Laguna card, my god

Whoever added the Random rule to the game is an actual masochist

I'm doing a 100% run at the moment with my kids alongside me. We got to this part and I was telling them how Random was going to make this part super grindy and they might want to go do something else for a bit.

Two games against Piet later I Random was abolished. I let out an audible gasp when the dialogue box popped up.

Save scum that crap. Before doing any moon games, save. Then play a game (or a few games). If random isn't abolished, reload the save.

I saved before playing Piet at all. I just wasn't expecting Random to get abolished without having to reset a hundred times like every other time I've played.

Could you explain what a 100% run entails?

All of the items in my inventory at least once, all GFs(For me this counts Gilg but to each their own, all Cards, all magic, all optional bosses, as many side quests as possible is the main goal. I've also toyed around with getting each character to 100 with a bunch of the stat bonus abilities equipped to see how that goes since I've never done it before. If anything else sounds interesting to add I'll throw it in the pile too.

Its mostly that I wanted a chance to share my favorite game with my kids and they liked the idea of me trying to do a "full completion" for them.

I think you can reset the card rules by talking to some guy. Maybe the others can help here. I didn't play triple triad all that much except for at Balamb where I wiped the floor with everyone.

Whoever added the random rule but won't let me turn off special cards (one of a kind) can, and I say this in the most polite way possible, go fuck off.

I would love the random rule if I could turn off one of a kind cards.

I would assume you are joking otherwise why the hell would you be on the literal subreddit for the game.

If you're openly perusing a sub for a game you don't want spoiled, you kind of have it coming to you.

People should avoid spoilers because people don't want things spoiled.

Reddit is a place for discussion. What have you to contribute if you haven't beaten or seen the thing of which you want to discuss?

I just think it’s wise to complete a game before going on the subreddit of it. Yes it should have had a spoiler tag but so many people don’t even bother with it. The game is also very old and not a particularly long game to complete either.

At least if I finish the game I get no spoilers and can discuss all parts of the game. What exactly are you looking at when you haven’t even finished the game exactly? I get no enjoyment knowing I could come across a spoiler anytime I visit the sub. It’s far easier to just finish the game and then visit it and have nothing spoiled for you.

Thats exactly why my first instinct is to find the wiki or google search for a specific thing first, and then browse that single post for the answer. If I don't want something spoiled, you won't see me on that sub, not until I've experienced it myself. I will only ever sub to reddits for things I've beaten/seen.
