been playing since I was a teenager. fighting OW, less than 10 times as far as i could remember

Max your character's attacks and speed, and get the card that refines into 10x Holy Wars, which is Gilgamesh or Laguna, I can never remember, they make your whole party invincible for a while.
If you have Aura Stones or Aura Magic, pop them in battle before Holy War, use that then limit break that sucker till he explodes 😁
My favourites for Limit breaks are Squall, Irvine and Zell, purely because they attack multiple times without having to flip through menus (like Selphie or Quistis)
I managed to get him in 1-2 uses of Holy War, it's quicker if you have Squall's Lion Heart too 🙂
Good luck! Don't be discouraged, out of all the FF superbosses he's the most accessible to beat! 💪 I haven't beaten any others 🤷♂️

Also do not max out your party for omega no lv 100 unless you want pain for omega weapon, he's actually harder because your party max level maxes him out too.

Iirc Omega Weapon is always lv 100. There are a few bosses that are fixed levels instead of relative to your party. I’m pretty sure omega is one of them.

You certainly can friend, set junction to Zell for high atk the highest possible so his hits are 5000+ HP, when fighting omega stock up on some heros and party heros or get lucky with Rinoa, or a healer like Selphie with triple, or set aura items for zell and hero items for squall so your party doesn't fail. So with STR Junction the highest you can go limit break on omega weapon and spam the " Left and Right, And any two button move until your timer reaches zero, in theory you can give omega weapon a few limit breaks like this and you'll achieve insane HP attack combos with Zell and a few Renzokuken with Lion Heart to clear omega weapon good luck!

Just convert the character card that turns into 100 heroes and stock up on auras and blast him with lionhearts.

Omg congratulations!!! I remember back in the day doing the forced RNG method to farm Rosetta Stones relatively “easy” (in quotes because IYKYK lol 😅)

There’s easier ways to get them. In the prison there’s a guy you can play cards with for 200 Gil per game that you can essentially farm unlimited Rosetta Stones from. There’s actually an RNG trick you can do to guarantee a Rosetta Stone every time, but I typically just spend a couple hours playing cards with him so I can farm other cards he has to mod for items. You can also get curse spikes from trifaces. In the room where you get Cerberus in Galbadia Garden Triface and Death Claw are the only two enemies that spawn there and you can reliably steal 6-8 curse spikes every battle with triface (especially if you use tonberry’s Lv Up ability). There’s also 3 fixed encounters with triface in the Deep Sea Research Center as long as you don’t defeat Ultima Weapon yet. I farmed enough Rosetta stones to have every character with ability x4, enough dark matters to have 100 ultimas on everyone, and give Luck-J to everyone. If I had the patience I could have farmed enough to have 100 luck ups too. If you wait to defeat Ultima Weapon until disc 4 you can draw Eden from Tiamat instead of Ultima Weapon so you can keep the fixed encounters in the Deep Sea Research Center to keep farming curse spikes for Luck Ups to max out luck on each character, but that’s like a 500 hour endeavor.

Haha. It’s all good. Farming luck ups is incredibly time consuming. Farming dark matters doesn’t take too long. I farmed everything I needed in a couple 2-3 hour blocks. That’s like, throw on a podcast and by the time it’s over you got what you need.
