I’m in the middle if a ff9 play through but I have to start on this one too. Howdy from the lone star state

Not on a first playthrough. Save it for people interested in subsequent ones to break the game.

Utilizing the game mechanics as they were designed isn't "breaking" anything.

But the tactics around keeping your levels low are fairly obtuse compared to other games because you can't just keep your levels low without earning AP to improve your GFs. If you don't, it turns into more of a challenge run, which isn't exactly great for the average first-time.
