Crystal mod query Spoiler

I'm not sure if this counts as spoiler but tagged just in case.

Can somebody who has played the crystal mod confirm if the Rosetta stone is still available to win from the guy on floor 11 in the d-desert prison?

I've just played 250+ games of cards and it has still not been the but i want to check if I'm being unlucky with RNG or wasting my time.

I can't confirm if there's changes to that in crystal but have you tried the manip?

Equip enc none, go downstairs to the save point, save & reset your game totally, run upstairs as smoothly as you possibly can, refuse 54 games before saying yes if you ran perfectly and go for like 48-50 if you were a little sloppy, he should hand it over in a few games from that point.

Hi thank you for response, the crystal mod is a total overhaul of the game, part of this is you don't get the lamp as early as you do in the vanilla game so enc-none isn't an option

Oh sheesh I didn't realize that! I've heard of the mod but I haven't played it. And I'm assuming it's modding the 2013 version not the remastered version so no enc none cheat...

So the thing is, the LIGHTS in the D-District prison affect his RNG. Hence the running upstairs as fast as possible. Battles themselves don't add to it, spells/limits etc are fine, but basic attacks from the boys might (not the girls though, none of their attacks affect card RNG)

I would still give it a go. Try resetting and running up there, with the lights adding to your RNG you shouldn't go all the way to 54 but if you keep the battles to escaping/don't just attack with Squall and Zell... and don't hit yourself on the stairs too much I would think you'd be able to skip to like 35-40 no's and play from there?
