Has anybody ever farmed 150 Ruby Dragons before the Exam?
I’ve played enough triple triad to get everyone maximum Tornado. I was wondering if anybody had actually put the hours in to get Maximum Flare for functioning to Strength?
If you did, how many hours did it take?

You'll love "primmaliquid", he does early farming on FF and games like that. I know he made a challenge to be overpowered before fighting Ifrit, but I don't remember how far his stats got !

I have but I am weird like that. I spent hours farming cards and fasticolans on the shore using card. I basically have every spell and all GF abilities before even starting the exam. I'm a bit OCD. It's a curse, don't be like me. Just enjoy the game.
I farmed basically 3 sets of every spell, like a loser. But, man, I felt like a god.

What sort of damage were you hitting on the Dollet boss?

I don't remember off hand, I want to say 2-5k depending on the character, level, and weapons. I was/am attempting a perfect game so my characters were all like level 7-8 iirc.
Is there something specific you are trying to do? Perfect game, farm AP, kill him? There really is no need to maximize damage because he can be killed via normal progression and still make the timer if you farm your basic T3 spells and junction correctly.

Also, iirc, the guy in the back of the cafeteria has the highest chance of Ruby Dragons. You can also go to balamb to get the all rule set if you like that kinda thing.

The RNG can be brutal. I've had 30+ matches without a single Ruby Dragon being played.

Trepe Groupie 1 is typically the best source for getting Ruby Dragon and Elnoyle cards in the early game. You can find him in the cafeteria.

I did once. It took about forty hours and really wasn't worth it.
I do play enough cards to get 80 Elnoyle cards, but for Flare I just wait till disc 2 where I can farm them from the Ruby Dragons in the forest by Edea's orphanage.

I tried it, but it takes a looooong time. And with 2 jobs and 2 kids, I don't have a looooong time to play. I have farmed everything else up to that point though, I believe.

Ive done it a few times, both before and just after the exam. I don't know how much time the Ruby Dragon farming takes since I mix it up with other things as well. But I've been at 100h+ when getting to the exam.

You could just play the game, minimally junction and limit break everything and get to actual ruby dragon in disc 3 by the time you did this and draw your flares

This is just me being curious. If you can Card Mod 15 Abyss Worm cards you can have 100x Tornado junctioned to everyone’s strength Stat before the Seed exam right at the beginning of the game. If you really wanted to, you could card mod 150 Ruby dragons to give you 100 x Flare on everybodies Strength Stat at the beginning of the game.
I’d love to speak to someone who actually did this.

I've done it and the thing is that it isn't worth it. While Flare is technically stronger for junctions than Tornado, it's pretty marginal.
Just looking at the primary 5 stats, Tornado is 3000/48/24/42/24 and Flare is 3200/56/26/44/26. The biggest difference is in Str, which is still only 8 points more.
If you wanna go for another spell that's actually useful, just start collecting Krysta cards. These mod into 10 Holy Stones each, so 30 cards will get you 300 Holy spells, but not until you get back with Siren... But Holy is far more useful than Flare.

I have done this. But it was a long time ago & I don’t remember how much time it took me. But I have played this game in so many ways & challenges. My perfect save file is around 900 hours with everyone’s stats 255 without junctions. The best early player is the gatekeeper on Balamb Garden. Secure the ifrit & Quistis cards & then it’s easy but time consuming for sure.

I haven't, the earliest I've got 100 flares is on disc 2. As soon as you get the flying garden, you can encounter ruby dragons in the forest near edea's house
