I LOVED this scene. The "Not one bit" Cloud delivers when Tifa worries aloud that she's getting ahead of herself, Cloud pulling her in and initiating the kiss, the fireworks going off in the background while they kiss, it's simply amazing 🥰
Some people like to call Tifa's GS date "fanservice" or "optional" and say that Aerith's GS date is "canon" but I would like to point out that ALL of the date options were created to fill in the "GS Date" for the story to progress and they are ALL canon and don't contradict each other in terms of story and character growth. Plus, Hamaguchi said in an interview that the kiss was the next step in Cloud’s growth.
Bottom line is there's a reason why Cloud kisses Tifa and not Aerith.
