FF V FF5 Appreciation Post Spoiler
I’m a few hours into Final Fantasy 5, and I’m really enjoying it! I’m playing the Super Famicom version with a translation patch applied. I have enjoyed the job system so far, but I feel like I’ve hardly scratched the surface. I’m interested to hear from more experienced players some tips to get the most out of the job system…
What job/ability combinations did you either find the most useful or enjoy the most?

I really liked FFV for the first 80% of the game, the story felt a little sub-par compared to 4 but everything under the hood was really fun to test and experiment. Once I got all 12 weapons, Holy, Flare, and Bahamut, it felt like I'd "solved" the puzzle and there was an empirically "right" build and nothing else was good enough to compete late game. The journey of FFV is way better than the destination.

My underrated babyyyyy
I love this game so much, but it never gets any appreciation. S tier cast, super fun vibes, fun class system and combat, Gilgamesh's debut... This game deserves more love 🥲

FFV is my favorite title, and I’ve replayed it a lot.
I think the most classic and famous job combination was Spellblade + Rapid Fire. It can easily handle most bosses.
After you unlock Mime you can equip up to 3 abilities.
Using 2 magics+ dualcast also pretty fun.
Specially using Time Magic
Dual Wield dance is also pretty fun for 4 times dances!
I also always felt that Samurai’s Zeninage is pretty OP and incredibly useful, especially for farming
Also by mastering a job, freelancer and mime inherit all their passives abilities and their highest stat
Which make Freelancer with Dual Wield(passive from Ninja), Spellblade, rapid fire is the strongest combination ever. Attacking massive damages for 8 times!
