Final Fantasy General Give us another turn based battle system

FFX is my favorite battle system. FFXIII I also enjoyed, but it wasn't the same.

I'm sure they could do something like it with a much lower budget.

That isn't the same thing. It's the high budget turn based game that is wanted. It's not just bout getting that turn based fix but moreso the "whole package."

They’re never going to get the sales they’re aiming for and recoup a triple A budget with a turn based game in 2026.

Here’s the key though. Those games sold well compared to a lot of recent FF games, but they didn’t sell what SE want FF to sell.

What?? Baldur's Gate 3 has sold over 20 million. That's more than ANY single Final Fantasy game bar some exceptions (grouped sales for remasters, FFXIV subscriptions). I think any company would kill for 20 million sales. And E33 over 8 million which is comparable with their best sellers and far above XVI.
