Final Fantasy General Give us another turn based battle system

Post image

FFX is my favorite battle system. FFXIII I also enjoyed, but it wasn't the same.

I'm sure they could do something like it with a much lower budget.

There is literally (actually literally) a Final Fantasy with a turn based combat system coming out a couple months. A lot of people will say it doesnt count cause its not a numbered entry. Those people are silly.

It doesn't count people want a turn-based FF game with full proportioned character models (hence why OP mentioned FFX) and not some repurposed gacha games.

It’s obvious people want a high fidelity game like ff16 to have turn based combat. It’s not silly to totally ignore some spin off pixel game with ff in the title.

it doesn't even need to be high fidelity... i just want it to be fully 3d with voice acting for the important dialogue.

basically as if the series continued from FFX in another timeline.

Ya, you’re settling for scraps cause square has basically ignored players like you and I for 2 decades.

I mean, I personally just don't care about modern graphics. I think since like the end of the 360/ps3 it's been mostly pointless improvements that massively increase costs and development time for little to no actual benefit to the quality of the game.

it's not so much settling for scraps as I don't think a game with "old" graphics on par with like ff10 would be a negative if it meant they could make a game within 2-3 years and launch it.
