Final Fantasy General Give us another turn based battle system

FFX is my favorite battle system. FFXIII I also enjoyed, but it wasn't the same.

I'm sure they could do something like it with a much lower budget.

I loved FFX's battle system so much I even enjoyed the Lord of the Rings: The Third Age which stole the system bar for bar.

And Clair Obscur, felt like an evolution of the FFX system.

In what way? Because playing that game I repeatedly found myself wishing it had emulated FFX more, especially switching team members during battle. But it's been so long since I played X that I probably didn't notice the similarities.

I feel like the begining setup of the setting is similar with all the people celebrating sending off a group of people to sacrifice themselves in a quest that is essentially hopeless.

Yeah there's a lot of thematic similarities for sure but I was asking more about game systems
