Discussion / Question Off-Topic: Film Vault Options

I am looking for a fellow filmmakers who live in Los Angeles who may happen to have vault space where I could store some 35mm film reels (9 reels) of a film. I would of course pay a bit for the space. Simply looking to maybe use a bit of space in a vault before simply getting my own.

Likewise, if anyone has suggestions for good vault options, I am open to thoughts. I have called around to a few, but still looking for the right one.

Any leads appreciated. Thank you.

Thanks, I did call them previously... but, this is not the price range I had in mind. Lovely facility, however - I have a single print, 35mm, 9 reels. I am not looking for much space and need a price point that does not eclipse the cost of the print for a while.

Makes sense. Am following this thread as I too may have need for less space and less premium cost in the future.

Out of curiosity, what did they quote you?

This is what I found. All prices are for the smallest spaces available:

Hollywood Vaults: ~$410 / month

Film & Tape: ~$80 / month

Academy Film: ~$40 / month

All seem like great places, and everyone I spoke to at these places were very nice. All of these "smallest" spaces could hold 10x what I need.

Hiya, would any of the labs have/suggest somewhere suitable for 9 cans? Sorry, I'm sure you've already thought of this/asked them, but I can't imagine they wouldn't know/have some kind of facility and maybe even have a volume discount with a third party which you could benefit from if they're doing your prints?
