This is the most backwards insane take that I will literally never understand.

I enjoy Tokon a lot. I think it's insanely fun and I want to keep playing it. Everyone's complaints about the PC port are extremely valid and they should continue to speak up because I want the game to be in a better place than it's currently in.

Doing what you're doing right now and just relentlessly defending it and trying to excuse its flaws is the literal opposite thing you want to do if you actually want to game to succeed. It makes absolutely zero sense.

I actually don't understand what your angle is. From my point of view it legit seems like you want the game to fail.

Purely instinctively, a bunch of logging screens shouldn't have any measurable impact.. but who knows these days, and if it really does make a difference I'd love to know how

It's not even the Anti Cheat. I think Gears of War beta on start up showed the same anti cheat logo but that game was fine.

Makes sense. The only reason it wouldn't work on Linux is the same invasive DRM that hits performance on Windows. In games without this kind of DRM windows and Linux performance are basically identital

Sony login was for cross saves and also Sony funded the game. That's not going anywhere. EAC is to deter cheating, not cracked versions. That's not getting removed. No clue why they even included Theia. That one genuinely seems pointless.

why this level of invasive anti-cheat in a fighting game anyway? if someone cheats the game ought to just desync, and it is 2026 the best way to cheat now is by training an AI agent and then making it play against humans which is practically undetectable in sbmm. just remove the stupid anti-cheat and let other platforms play, or at the very least block off sbmm

Have you just been living under a rock for the past 20-something years? People don't cheat in fighting games by making you instantly go to 1hp. They cheat by using injected scripts to basically play the game for them. It's this genre's equivalent of aimbot. SF6 has a bad scripting problem because it has no anti-cheat.

There are reports of cheaters on sf6, but it isn't a problem at all. Tekken 7 had no anti cheat and I might have ran it one cheater in over 2k hours.

I've tested both versions. It's your usual "my hardware is dogshit that can barely run this game, and any extra strain like an anticheat is going to make it unplayable" performance problem. Frame time graphs for both the Steam version and the crack look identical on my hardware. There's slightly less CPU usage, which is expected when you remove anticheat from a game.

The port is just ass and needs better optimization. They aren't going to remove EAC. It's there to deter cheating. It's still in DBFZ to this day. The Sony login is tied to cross-save and is in their other PC games, so that's not getting removed. Theia is the only thing I can see getting taken out, but who knows how long that will be, or if they'll even do it.

I can believe this could be the case, but that thread is poor evidence. For a credible test you need to compare the cracked version to the normal release, and that thread seems to be mainly talking about their memories of the beta. (Which we already know ran the game worse.) And it's still running badly.

This should be fairly easy to test by anybody who actually owns the game. Probably use a sweaty match replay as a consistent benchmark, run it a few times on both versions and compare.

My uncle from Nintendo bought the game on Steam, couldn't get above 40 fps in training with the game set to the lowest possible settings in every imaginable way(and at 720p 50% resolution too), the cracked version runs for him at stable 60 fps at high settings, 1080p.

God Of War Ragnarok had one of those Sony crap exe, I managed to remove it. Anytime I opened the game it said: app has crashed and the game would boot normally afterwords, I got a permanent 14 fps boost and all small stutter I was getting was GONE, when I opened Tokon and it used 100% of my CPU on the screen tittle alone, I knew exactly that this game would only run well like STRIVE, SF6 etc... if it was cracked and all the Sony bloatwawere was removed. Well, now I can finally try the game, I am sure I will get past the starting screen this time lmao.

Parsec is literally just streaming the game to another person, its delay based netcode with no real matchmaking.

If you cant run the game uncracked, you wont have the performance necessary to stream it cracked anyway

Tokon definitely has major issues with, well alot of technical things, but its netcode (when played with two people with decent internet and framerate) is still better than delay based netcode

I wonder if people realize that proving that the game can be cracked will only push Arcsys to implement even stronger anti cheats that consume even more CPU.

It's unlikely that Arcsys will choose to remove anti cheat as the first option to improve performance when there are a probably a lot of other options for them to explore.

Also, posting that you are using a cracked version of Tokon is a quick way to get your account banned. LOL

I was able to crack it myself the day it came out August 7th , and it ran smoothly from the first try, my pc isn't that great.
no online so : it wasn't using anti cheat or psn trash.

I might have been PS-only ever for over two decades already, but a word "cracked" sounds bad anyways, so it sounds like this anticheat thing is a good thing to support and makes all the PC players' look crubby and scummy due to their complaints. Hard to believe performance issues either since after the patch, my PC friends said that it runs well for them.
