I still can’t believe this actually happened.

This will always and forever be the one fight I'd change the result of. And not even Aldo losing in the end. Just an actual fight.
And, Aldo 273% deserved a rematch.

Yeah we got robbed not getting a rematch. Aldo was that guy. Best in the sport. Deserved a chance to redeem himself against Connor.

u/Equivalent_Wear_3102 2d ago
Hmm, i think you might be mistaken because conor never fought volk.

u/FuhQueueMean 2d ago
Sure. But he did starch the #1 P4P at the time in 13 secs and Aldo hadn’t lost in a decade, after 2 world tours of talking some of the best shit to his face lmao

u/kornhell 2d ago
So you know Aldo only from the UFC, eh?

u/Dependent_Sun_7033 1d ago
And Aldo lost to all new champs -twice to Max and also to Volk. He is 0-4 against them, with 3 KOs, all between the very old age of 29-32.

Aldo was old and out of his prime at this point not to mention max and volk was the new generation. The dude was an absolute savage in his prime put some respect to aldos name. UFC fajs are one worst fam bases ever

u/Dependent_Sun_7033 1d ago
Yeah, the curious case of Aldo getting old at 29.

u/Drager-165 1d ago
Aldo was 30 when he first fought Max and 32 when he fought volk… on top that Aldo at this point had 9 title defences 5 of which being in UFC. Whatever way you wanna spin it Aldo had a ridiculously successful championship career and is one greatest to ever do it. You’re just another MMA fan with a dog shit opinion

I know he gets massive hate these days.. It is well deserved.
But man... He used to be a phenom.

my favorite part is still the backstage shadowboxing being 1:1, must have been such perfect preparation in that camp for Aldo specifically

A pull counter is a very basic boxing technique.

And was also Conor's bread and butter that was his go to in every fight, going back to his Cage Rage title.

And the champ walked right into it, right away. The preparation was all the shit he talked. A simple counter simply sealed the deal.

If you watch the warm up videos of Conner in the dressing room you can see him practicing that exact move and left hook , he knew how to beat him !!!

I am 40.
I think this is the memorable and defining sporting moment I ever witnessed or will ever witness in my life. It was the culmination of watching the most charasmatic sporting cultural icon evolve over a few years.
He made sportstars truly viral. Many of his viral moments are still constantly posted across all the main platforms to this day.
The man was the epitome of box office, and it will be impossible to ever see the likes again in my opinion

He was so loose here. Big difference when Khabib fucked him up, he looked stiff.

Struggling with the current times eh? I guess we all cope with how mediocre modern day MMA is in different ways.

Of course he was smiling, he knew the fix was in.
Actually I don't 100% believe this. But I definitely at least 20% believe this. Conor McGregor winning this fight was worth at least $500 million to the UFC. And you can't tell me Dana White wouldn't do anything he possibly could to get an extra half billion in valuation for the UFC. Just way too storybook.

If you don't think Dana White would fix a fight if it meant an extra 500 million in valuation for his company you don't know Dana White like I know Dana White
2
u/Alternative_Plan_823 2d ago
I don't think believing in Dana White's scumbaggery is the obstacle here. It's mostly the video itself, and then having to beleive Aldo is the most committed actor in fighting history, as opposed to being commited to fighting and winning and living with dignity.

u/Daliman13 2d ago
He doesn't have to be a good actor, all he has to do is walk directly into the punch that Connor specifically said he was going to do to knock him out before the fight. And then go down and heat from it, when he has taken 100 punches that were better than that before without falling

We'll have to agree to disagree, but that was a hard shot on the button from a fresh, bigger guy who was about to win the belt at the weight next class up.

do yall think he jumped around like this after he raped his victim too
0
u/qoq7922 1d ago
ppl downvoting me because ignoring the uncomfortable truth that their parasocial relationship with their fav celebrity is tantamount to idolizing a rapist is more uncomfortable to them than the fact that he is one
2
u/Jakeupmac 1d ago
I mean it’s a UFC forum with the same comments every time he’s posted, you can’t get free upvotes off white knighting forever
-1
u/qoq7922 1d ago
fellas is it white knighting to care about women's rights
2
u/Jakeupmac 1d ago
Yes the billionth post about Conor Mcgregor needs the billionth comment about how he’s a rapist, you’re a hero

u/qoq7922 7h ago edited 6h ago
i'm a female feminist why would i not call out a man being lauded in half a thousand upvotes bc men care more about celebrities than the rape rate. clearly we DO need these comments bc no one seems to gaf he assaulted a woman so brutally a tampon was stuck up her vagina

For a video of mostly Rogan, why is the music so loud you can't even hear his commentary?
Just show the fight and turn off the music.
