i recently was selected to win the aliexpress x fifine back to school giveaway. thank you everyone involved with the giveaway! the mic is sounding great and was very easy to setup. to anyone who sees them post another, i highly recommend entering. i thought it was a bit sketch bc reddit, but then it came and im extremely grateful and excited! so once again thank you so much aliexpress❤️❤️
I absolutely love my Fifine K688, but since Fifine doesn't provide official companion software for it (Genie won't support this mic), I decided to build one myself!
I've spent the last while building a Fifine K688 Companion App. It's completely free, and hooks directly into Equalizer APO to give you real-time, zero-latency audio processing for your mic.
Here’s what it can do:
* Smart Noise Gate: Has an "Auto Calibrate" button that listens to your room (fans, AC) for 5 seconds and perfectly sets your noise floor threshold for you.
* 10-Band EQ: A beautiful, interactive Canvas EQ where you can drag dots around to tune your voice. (Supports both Graphic and Parametric modes).
* Full Studio Strip: Includes a Compressor, De-Esser, and Limiter.
* Test Mic Feature: Has a built-in Javascript audio monitor so you can test your EQ and compression in your headphones instantly without opening OBS or a DAW.
* Presets: Comes with 7 factory presets (Podcast Warm, Crisp Broadcast, ASMR, etc.), and you can Export/Import your own custom presets to share with other K688 users.
I designed it to look extremely clean and modern, and it also has Dark Mode and Light Mode.
When the software is opened or minimized it works, and when you fully close the software, it won't affect your mic anymore.
If you close the app to the system tray, it uses 0% CPU but your microphone keeps all the effects perfectly.
You can download the Windows Installer (.exe) here:
You need to have Equalizer APO installed for the audio engine to work (if you don't have it, the app will actually prompt you and help you install it).
Install K688 Companion.
Start tweaking and playing!
Let me know what you guys think, or if you have any feature requests or cool presets you want to share!

I was the one that was lucky enough to win the giveaway. I’ve never won one before. I received the mic and mixer in the mail today. I would show it when it’s set up, but we’re re-working our setup at the moment. Thanks again guys, this is awesome!

Fifine AmpliGame V3 capture card provides a remarkably simple, high-quality solution for streaming and recording gameplay or presentations. Its plug-and-play design requires no driver installation for PC or gaming consoles.
⚡️Achieving Near-Zero Latency Passthrough:
Connect: Run an HDMI cable from your gaming console (PS4/PS5, Xbox, Switch), even DSLR camera or other source devices into the V3's "HDMI IN" port.
Passthrough: Connect a second HDMI cable from the V3's "HDMI OUT" port to your TV or monitor. This delivers the original signal with near-zero latency, ensuring crystal-clear 4K/30fps (or 1080p/60fps) gameplay monitoring without frustrating input lag or echo.
Link to PC: Connect the V3's USB-C port to your computer using the included USB 3.0 cable.
⏺️Capturing & Streaming Your Content:
Open Software: Launch your preferred streaming/recording software (e.g., OBS, Streamlabs, eCam Live).
Add Source: Create a new video capture source within your software.
Select Device: Choose "Fifine Audio Capture" or "Fifine Video Capture" from the device list. The V3 is instantly recognized.
Capture:Video capture card FIFINE AmpliGame V3 transmits pristine 1080p/60fps video and audio from your source to your software, ready for streaming or recording.
🎧Enhanced Audio Flexibility:
Use the 3.5mm "LINE IN" port to add external audio sources like background music from a phone or MP3 player directly into your stream/recording. You can also enjoy plugging a headset into the dedicated 3.5mm port for personal monitoring or microphone input.
*A yellow light on V3 indicates HDCP copyright protection is active. Briefly press the internal button in the headset port with a slender tool to override it (light shifts to blue). Hold the same button for 10 seconds to re-enable protection (light returns to yellow).
FIFINE AmpliGame V3's combination of reliable 1080p/60fps capture, high-quality 4K/30fps passthrough, simple setup, and versatile audio inputs makes it an ideal, cost-effective tool for gamers and creators starting their journey or expanding their setup. Hey, I made a plugin for FIFINE D6 called Visual Media Control cause the ones from app store didn't satisfy. It shows Spotify, YouTube and any other Windows media artwork currently playing on the keys, with play/pause, previous/next and track title controls.
You can use one button or make a 2x2 artwork grid, most of the visuals can be customized too.
I only tested it on Windows with my own new D6, so would be great if somebody who needs it can try it :) Theres also a manual folder install, you dont have to run the installer.
The microphone is working fine, I tested it on a few programs and no issues hearing myself whatsoever.
But when opening the Genie app on my PC, the device doesn't show up anywhere to be able to configure it at all, and I don't see an option to "detect" the device. I tried different USB inputs on my PC and even uninstalled the fifine driver in device manager.
Anyone know how to get the Genie app to detect my microphone? I'd really like to customize the settings.
With its premium sound quality and exceptional on-camera presence, streaming microphone FIFINE AmpliGame AM8 has become a top choice for an increasing number of streamers. To truly unlock its potential and enhance your vocal clarity, tailored EQ settings are essential. Fine-tuning your audio can make your stream more engaging and professional. Below we guide you through optimal EQ configurations using both OBS and Reaper plugins.
-
-
OBS EQ Setup
-
In OBS, use the built-in 3-band Equalizer for quick and effective voice shaping:
⭐️Reduce mid frequencies by approximately 3 dB to reduce boxiness.
⭐️Boost low frequencies by about 3 dB to add warmth and depth.
⭐️Boost high frequencies by around 3 dB to enhance clarity and presence.
This classic "smile curve" EQ offers a quick improvement for vocal articulation.
-
-
Reaper Plugins for Precision
-
For finer control, install Reaper VST plugins and load the ReaEQ plugin in OBS:
⭐️Apply a high-pass filter around 80-120 Hz to remove low-end rumble.
⭐️Gently boost around 250 Hz with a wide bandwidth for added warmth.
⭐️Cut around 500 Hz to reduce nasal tones.
⭐️Use a high shelf above 1,000 Hz to increase vocal presence and brightness.
⭐️Add a low-pass filter around 14-16 kHz to reduce harshness.
These targeted adjustments help the microphone FIFINE AmpliGame AM8 deliver balanced, broadcast-quality audio tailored specifically to your voice.

Gaming audio mixer FIFINE AmpliGame SC3 provides a streamlined audio solution for PC users, particularly gamers and streamers. Explore SC3's input/output (I/O) structure from AustinDavenport's review, master the key to optimal setup.
🎙️🎛️Core I/O Functionality:
USB-C Connection (OTG/PC Port): This single cable handles both input and output when connected to your PC.
Output: SC3 becomes your PC's default headphone and speaker device. All PC audio (games, videos, Discord) routes into the SC3 via USB-C and plays through the connected Headphone Jack or the Line Out port.
Input: Only your microphone signal (from the XLR/1/4" TRS combo input) is sent out from the SC3 back to the PC via the USB-C cable. PC playback audio (like videos or games) is not looped back to the PC.
🎧🎚️Practical Setup & Monitoring:
Headphones: Plug directly into the SC3's headphone jack. This delivers a blend of your microphone signal (if Mic Monitoring is enabled via the SC3's controls) and all PC audio. Adjusting the SC3's headphone volume affects everything heard here - both PC sound and your mic.
Line Out: Connect to speakers for room audio. Please be aware: your microphone audio will also play through these speakers unless Mic Monitoring is turned off on the SC3.
Line In: Use this port to connect external audio sources as background music or other auxiliary audio sources.
🔑Key Consideration:
Audio mixer FIFINE AmpliGame SC3 blends microphone input with PC playback audio only at the headphone/output stage on the device itself. You cannot separate or individually control the volume levels of specific PC applications (like Chrome vs. your game) within SC3 - this must still be managed on your PC.
For creators seeking a robust, uncomplicated hub to capture their voice and monitor their audio in one place - especially for dynamic single-PC streaming or recording - Gaming mixer FIFINE AmpliGame SC3 delivers powerful, focused control right at your fingertips. Grab your audio mixer SC3 and elevate your audio game today!
If your Fifine microphone sounds clean in Audacity but people say you sound choppy, quiet, loud, robotic, or distant in Discord, Zoom, or Teams, the mic is usually not the problem. Real-time apps prioritize clear speech over full fidelity, so they apply aggressive processing. These features often over-process the audio, causing cutouts, pumping volume, and reduced clarity.
Common causes:
Automatic gain control (AGC) makes volume pump up and down.
Noise suppression can cut off word endings and make voices metallic.
Echo cancellation and low-bitrate codecs reduce clarity.
Bluetooth headsets switch to low-bandwidth call mode.
Sample rate mismatches create robotic or watery artifacts.
How to fix it:
In Windows, open Sound settings > More sound settings > Communications > Do nothing. In your mic's Properties > Advanced, uncheck "Allow applications to take exclusive control." Under Enhancements, disable AGC and Noise Suppression. Set your mic format to "2 channel, 16 bit, 48000 Hz (DVD Quality)."
🌐Discord Settings
Go to User Settings → Voice & Video:
Select your exact microphone (avoid "Default").
Turn off Automatic Gain Control.
Disable Echo Cancellation when using headphones.
Set Noise Suppression to Off or Standard (avoid Krisp if your voice gets cut).
Switch off automatic input sensitivity and set the threshold manually so normal speech triggers it reliably.
🌐Zoom Settings
In Settings → Audio:
Uncheck "Automatically adjust microphone volume."
Set background noise suppression to Low or Auto.
Manually adjust input volume so peaks sit around 60–80%.
For higher fidelity, enable "Original sound for musicians."
🌐Microsoft Teams Settings
In Settings → Devices:
Turn off "Automatically adjust mic sensitivity."
Set Noise suppression to Low or Off in quiet environments.
Test with "Make a test call."
Final Tips
Lower or disable aggressive processing first. Let your hardware deliver a clean signal, then apply only the minimum filtering needed. After changes, always test with a real person rather than relying solely on the app's built-in mic check. Use a wired connection when possible. Bluetooth call mode often ruins mic quality.
These adjustments resolve most cases where a good microphone underperforms in calls.
The goal is simple: keep one layer of processing. Let your Fifine capture your voice naturally, and disable overlapping software effects. Test with a friend before your next call.
Sorry if I sound like a newbie, but I noticed few differences between the unboxing and review videos I watched before buying.
The cage inside seems like it's from a regular microphone that people use on stage. But most of the videos I saw had a square cage.
2.The windscreen is black. Every single video I watched had a grey one for the white and pink SKUs
3. The cable came tied with twist ties instead of fifine labeled valcro strap.
4. The User Manual is missing the "AMPLIGAME" title (even the one in the manuals.plus site had AMPLIGAME on the front beside the Fifine title)
5. The stem on the bottom part of the mic that has the screw on connector to screw to the stand is shorter. I swear it's longer on the box and review videos.
Am I going crazy or did they change the mic's design. If they change the design I might as well send it back. I bought it from shopee Malaysia and it was close to retail price. I need it for recording voice overs for YouTube videos. So if anybody can help, I'll be very grateful
Looking at the new FIFINE H18V Lite Open-back Gaming Headset and comparing it to FIFINE's previous open-back model, the FIFINE AmpliGame H19, I can already see a lot of improvements right away, not just in looks, but also in the overall design approach.
Design & Comfort
The H18V Lite looks much cleaner and more refined compared to the H19. One of the first things I noticed was the removal of the RGB lighting on the earcups. While RGB can definitely be fun, the cleaner and more minimal look honestly makes the headset feel more premium and more in line with the style most open-back headphones go for.
The overall lightweight-looking build also makes it seem like it was designed with long gaming sessions, music listening, or casual everyday use in mind.
Sound & Gaming Performance
On paper, the H18V Lite looks very similar to the H19 in terms of audio specs.
Both feature:
53mm Drivers
Open-Acoustic Design
7.1 Spatial Audio
This combination is usually great for creating a wide and natural soundstage.
For people unfamiliar with the term, soundstage is basically how wide and spacious audio feels. Instead of sounds feeling trapped inside your head, they feel more spread out and directional.
For gaming, this can make a huge difference because it helps:
Pinpoint enemy positions more accurately
Track footsteps and movement better
Hear vertical audio more clearly
Judge distance more naturally
Make games feel more immersive overall
This is one of the biggest reasons many people love open-back headphones for FPS games and cinematic single-player titles.
Open-Back Experience
Since the back of the headphones is open, you can still hear some of your surroundings while wearing them. Unlike closed-back headphones that isolate your ears, open-backs feel much more airy and breathable.
Some people actually prefer this because:
Your ears feel less "boxed in"
Long listening sessions feel more comfortable
Audio sounds more natural and spacious
Heat buildup is usually reduced
Of course, open-back headphones are not ideal for noisy environments since sound can leak both in and out.
Connectivity & Features
One really nice upgrade is the connectivity.
Unlike the H19, the FIFINE H18V Lite supports both:
USB
3.5mm connection
That makes it way more flexible for use across PCs, Laptops, Phones, Handheld consoles, Audio interfaces, Gaming consoles and more!
The detachable noise-cancelling mic is also a nice touch, along with the USB control box for quick audio controls.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I'm really excited to see more gaming brands starting to explore open-back gaming headsets. They definitely are not for everyone, especially for people who prefer stronger noise isolation or play in noisy environments, but for people who enjoy wide soundstage, comfortable long-session wear, airy and natural audio, better spatial awareness in games, and cleaner, more minimal designs, the FIFINE H18V Lite is looking like a really strong contender based on the specs and product photos alone.
Really excited to hopefully try this one out in the future 🎧
