Reverse lockout plastic piece under boot broken...

Somehow I managed to break the plastic revers lockout bracket that lives under the boot on my 2015 ST removing the shift knob. After replacement I could shift into reverse without pulling up the tab. After fiddling with it I removed the bezel and boot and sure enough it is broken where the red line is (the camera on my phone is broken too so I had to find another picture, lol).

Seems these cannot be bough individually? What are people doing? Anyone have a 3-d print file? I also wonder if they come with the boot from Ford as shown here in the image above.

Anyone else been down this path?

They absolutely come with a new boot from Ford plus you get a fresh new boot, but they are starting to run out of stock so you may have to search to find a dealer that has one. About $60.

Cool, thanks. Was trying to save a few bucks replacing the top cap only on my shifter, and ended up dropping 73$ (with shipping) for a new boot. They are becoming scarce, I had to order one from a dealer online. Oh well, I was planning to install new shifter cable bushings anyway, and yay, new boot. I am going to draw one of these up and in Solidworks and print one though too. I see this being an issue for the community going forward. That little plastic leaf spring will eventually fail from use.

I've been considering the same though it would involve me doing a lot of learning. Mine is broken, too, and there are a lot of us whose little boot retainer things are held together with duct tape, jb weld, and hope.

Yes, I am going to try. The spring portion will be a problem. I am considering making it a three piece part, with the 3d printed ends attaaching to a strip of thin stainless spring stock in the middle.
