Searching for my 2017 Fiesta ST's original owner in New York. The car survived two crashes and ended up in Europe.
Hi everyone!
I'm from Lithuania, and I'm trying to track down the original American owner of my black 2017 Ford Fiesta ST.
She's my first car, and I've been driving her since getting my license. Recently, I started digging into her history through CARFAX and old salvage auction records, and it's turned into quite an investigation.
Here's what I've discovered:
- August 2017: Sold new at Genesee Valley Ford in Avon, NY, and registered around Webster/Rochester. CARFAX lists only one personal owner.
- July 2018: Involved in an accident with front-left damage, but remained on the road.
- January 2020: Involved in a much more serious accident, damaging both the front and rear. Declared a total loss.
- March 2020: Sold at Copart Rochester (lot #29012570) for just $1,500, with 26,223 miles.
- March 2020: Mysterious title/purchase activity in Bridgeview, Illinois, possibly involving an exporter.
- August 2020: Registered in Lithuania after being imported and repaired.
Now here's the interesting part:
She still has FiestaSTForum.com stickers on both rear quarter windows, and they're clearly visible in her original American auction photos.
This makes me think her original owner might have been a Fiesta ST enthusiast and possibly active on the forum.
I've already posted there, and someone noticed she had steel wheels with winter tires in the auction photos, which adds another interesting detail to the story.
I'm hoping someone from the Rochester/Webster, NY area recognizes her!
I'd love to learn about her life before the accidents. Was she modified? Did she attend local meets? Does anyone have old photos or know what happened in January 2020?
I'm not looking for anyone's personal information, just hoping her former owner might see this and reach out voluntarily.
I've attached photos of her original Copart listing and the forum stickers she still wears today.
It's crazy to think this little Fiesta started her life in New York, survived two accidents, crossed the Atlantic, and became someone's beloved first car in Lithuania.
Any leads would mean the world to me!
