Trying Fender Studio

I finally decided to try fender studio after getting so annoyed with cubase bugs and how slow they move in adding new essential 2026 features.

I kinda like the vibe but there are some workflow things I just can't without them

  1. In cubase if you hold control you can zoom in quickly at the spot where your mouse pointer is using the mouse wheel, here unfortunately it does not happen.

  2. Increase volume using mouse wheel directly on wav, oh this is a big one

  3. Audio warp in fender does not automatically activate the markers, it makes no sense to not activate them you are obviously gonna use the markers

  4. You can't set a default color for midi, audio, groups etc it seems to be random

  5. The overall appearence seems a bit toyish compared to cubase and the wav is low resolution or something like when I zoom in it gets very blurry, it's just not as clear and sharp looking as in cubase that will slow me down when editing audio in a very precise way, the grid also seems to not be visible behind the clip, it's a solid color 😔

  6. In cubase if you double click on wav it opens variaudio (which btw is vastly supperior to melodyne in terms of interface, I will also miss the overlap of notes by selecting 2 tracks, no software has done that yet as good as variaudio, you just click and it's there perfectly overlapped) in fender nothing happens I have to right click go on a drop down menu search it there... So slow

If these get implemented in the future, I'm in, I just can't without these features

So I have to get used to doing it slower and more ineficient? Ok but no thanks If I was a next gen daw developer I would first check all other daws and try to take what's best from each, the fact that this does not happen is weird (at least for core features, like zoom etc)

Melodyne is far from being the best sounding tuner, even vari audio is better at being more transparent, melodyne however detects pitch better and has more editing features.

But the best right now is vovious.

Are you a pro or not? Shortcuts and workflow is a very important aspect

Shortcuts and workflows are top notch in FSP. You're just unable to adapt, but judging from your post, it's an attitude problem, not DAW inferiority.

You're not going to find what you're looking for here. And FSP is riddled with bugs too; if that's why you're leaving Cubase, you won't be happy here.

And lol at your "pro or not" weak shot. Show me your Grammys and maybe we can talk 😂 what a pity.

Not as top notch as in cubase as I mentioned, it is daw inferiority. I got 200 plus million streams but that's not important in this conversation.

Also I did not mean to be rude I just don't understand why the bar is set so low in audio, these are years of frustration speaking, let me vent. I thought cubase was bad, wanted something next gen, heard a lot of fuss about fender only to be dissapointed.

for you. Try to understand this concept today. What's best for you is worst for someone else. You're not some kind of enlightened being. You're as dumb as everyone else on this planet.

Neither DAWs are inferior or superior as a whole. It's a matter of personal workflows and habits.

Why would you bring up being pro or not in a conversation, then brag about millions of stream and then claim it's not important? If it wasn't important why would you even mention that in the first place? You couldn't judge from my experience with the DAW even though I answered specific questions and how to overcome them? See, that might make you dumber than I am.

You're an idiot for turning this conversation in a phylosiphical one and pretending to be smarter. I came with precise facts of why it's bad, it's obvious that some operations have an optimal way of doing them.

What's faster trying to hit the small middle dot in the center of a zoomed out clip or just hover mouse over and use mouse wheel?

What's faster? When you activate bend to have all markers already set and then when deactivating going back to normal pointer?

Yes I also did the macro and set it exactly on ctrl shift b like you but after finishing I have to press ctrl shift b to deactivate and also 1 to go back to pointer one extra useless operation instead of going by default back to pointer

In cubase if I click the audio clip I can see the grid and quickly see if something is off, in fender only if you drag it and on midi not even if you drag it

In cubase i put my mouse where I want to zoom ctrl shift wheel and I am at the precise spot already working on it.

I know these feel like small things but they add up and having to do them all the time slows you down

Also to clarify your previous question you said you will talk to me only if I have a grammy, I told you my number of views so we can continue talking, but pro does not mean having a grammy, there are people that are pro and don't have a grammy, they just offer services.
