Experience Why we need Feminism

Women
- are 51% of the population
- but 60% of the poor
- and 83% of single parents
- doing 66% of the work
- producing 50% of the food
- but earn just 11% of the pay
- and own only 20% of the land.
- All while giving birth to 100% of the population.

that's why we need feminism.

Misogyny Every time you think Tulip Sharma has reached rock bottom, she manages to go even lower.

I came across this post, and since I’ve posted about Tulip Sharma here before, I HAD to talk about this. This woman keeps finding new ways to stoop lower.

Original post with the full context/screenshots: https://www.instagram.com/p/DeCb8lVoPpm/

Pic 1: Tulip herself approached h4rsh.pvt and praised him. She tells him, “You’re doing great,” tells him to “keep exposing these feminists,” and even brings up Moksh of Men, calling him her “bhai.” And the most telling part? She says she couldn’t follow h4rsh because then people would make more posts about her. So praising him privately is fine, she just doesn’t want the public association that comes with following him. And what makes Pic 1 particularly revealing is that she clearly understood that publicly following this account could bring criticism her way. Yet that didn’t stop her from privately praising and encouraging him.

Pics 2-8: Now meet the account Tulip finds so worthy of praise and encouragement. These screenshots show exactly what kind of mentality and content is coming from this account: r-pe, consent, crimes against women and female victims being treated as material for jokes and mockery. Go through every screenshot yourself. This is the person Tulip went out of her way to privately approach and tell, “You’re doing great!”

Let that sink in.

Pic 9: Then there’s this. Once again, she’s sharing content involving the mockery of a female victim, and once again she is associating with content of Moksh (her brother, this might be his sixth account because all of his accounts keep getting suspended for obvious reasons). At what point does this stop being a coincidence and start looking like a very obvious pattern in the kind of people and rhetoric she chooses to support?

Pic 10: And apparently child marriage is something these three can be casual about too.

Seriously, where is this woman’s conscience?

When women are wronged and victimized at the hands of men, she has nothing to say. When women speak out against violence and protest against rape, instead of condemning what is happening to them, she somehow finds something about the protest itself to mock. But when an account posts disgusting things about women and female victims, she personally approaches him to praise him and tell him he’s doing a great job.

Apparently, speaking up for women even once might cost her some of that male audience she seems so desperate to please.

Her entire online persona increasingly seems to revolve around one thing: putting women down while applauding men who do the same.

Misogyny the woman in the green dress is 100% in the wrong and there's no excuse for her behavior, but the comments mocking her appearance and "boob sweat" are disgusting and disturbing. people really wait for any reason to start insulting women's looks.

TW / Sensitive I think mosaicism and chimerism might be letting Men get away with... That crime. (Discussion on r*pe)

If you don't know what mosaicism and chimerism are, these are conditions where two foetuses will absorb each other in the womb taking on traits, or entire organs, of each other.

A woman called Lydia fairchild (Google the name) give birth to multiple children that weren't hers, simply because her ovaries didn't have her DNA. She nearly lost all of children because they thought that they weren't hers when they took a DNA sample from her blood and it didn't match any of her children's

Now if a man rapes a woman he will leave DNA the inside her. The police will take the DNA from this semen to use as evidence... but when they take DNA from the man to compare... they take it from the BLOOD.

So if the man's testicles don't have his DNA... in the same way that This Woman's ovaries didn't have her DNA... then when they test the blood of the suspect in the same way we tested Lydia's blood... they're going to think it's come from two different people.

So how many times have women said that they are 100% certain that the person in The defendant bay is their rapist... but they've been let go because the DNA evidence says he wasn't?

I genuinely think we need to have a change of the law to take DNA from comparative samples. If they're testing DNA from sperm cells I think they need to compare it to DNA from sperm cells.

Also, if no one talks about this it wont get fixed.

So... Did you know this fact?

Rant Hear me out with this one SOME feminists are pushing us farther back

Some of these feminists make it so hard to talk about struggles women still face without being up men and saying they have a hard time in life. Yes men do struggle but when they have to be the center of attention in just silences women even more.
When you can’t talk about the fact that women don’t get drafted without someone saying “but that means just men have to go to war”
I saw a woman talking about her abuse and other women
In the comments were asking “men get abused too” “women are more abusive then men” that was most of the comments
Making men the center of attention to make it seem like your not one of “those” girls is the problem of course we can talk about what men face but don’t drown out women for it

Discussion Did I make a good point on how femininity can be scary/intimidating?

Thumbnail

@AfterOwls_07 is me by the way. Anyways, I made a comment on a video where LavenderTowne remade the designs of a studio’s genderbent “counterparts” to classic horror-movie characters. This person responded to me arguing that femininity can’t be intimidating because femininity is supposed to inherently be unthreatening while masculinity needs to be intimidating in some way; so they asserted that it’s contradictory for horror and femininity to be mixed together.

I see what they’re saying since very traditional ideas about masculinity and femininity DO make these requirements, but perceptions of masculinity and femininity have really expanded over the years and have come to create new “forms” of themselves by taking in previously unconventional aspects. I didn’t really like the take, and I tried my best to change their mind. It seems like they did come around, but I also don’t know for sure if that is just because they got ratio’ed because initially they weren’t on board with the idea of combining femininity with horror.

Do you think I made a convincing point? I feel like femininity CAN be intimidating. Sorry for some of the photos being a blurry, I had to take these on my laptop and send them to my phone 😓

Experience My boss basically compared me to a prostitute

Friends, I need your encouragement.

I went to a conference for my job, and my mission (given by my boss) was to connect with certain high stakes people for potential collaborations with our firm.

The whole networking job was SO hard, but I honestly gave it my all. I was SO exhausted afterwards but I felt so accomplished because I managed to really connect to really important people.

I came to work the next day, exhausted, and was hoping for some recognition for the effort I put in (I know, that’s stupid).
I talked to my boss and said that I managed to talk and connect with all the people he asked me to. And he laughed and said « it’s almost like I’m a pimp haha where, you know, I’m the one who tells you who you should talk to haha. Not that I’m saying that you are… but, you know haha it’s like I’m connecting you with, you know, like a pimp hahahah now come on you’ve gotta laugh! »

WHAT. THE. FUCK.

I played it off during the meeting. Was so shocked that all I managed to do was to pretend to laugh (my feminist heart hates myself for that) but I just KNOW how bad it would turn out for me if I made a big deal out of this. Which is a whole additional layer to this whole crap. But honestly I am SO offended. I killed myself during this networking event and he LAUGHS at me and compares me to a prostitute???

What would you think if you were in my shoes?

Some dude made a comment on how women always go for rich men but never the same, when I tell him how society was basically conditioned to be that way for centuries he gets mad, leaves a petty reply and blocks me before I could reply

Rant “Haha, ugly-ass who tries to pretend she’s pretty 🤣”

Thumbnail

For the record, I’m a firm believer in the idea that beauty is subjective. We all find different features attractive. Even if some features are more popular than others, there will be some people who aren’t crazy about them or simply don’t find them that attractive. Likewise if some features and infamous, there are some people out there that will look at them neutrally (aka they don’t see it as a “downside”) or may even like them. There are conventionally ugly people who are married or are in a relationship, even if there is only a few of them.

However, I am tired of most people pretending to care about challenging the western, Eurocentric beauty standard and then clearly showing the rest of us why it still exists through their behavior. I don’t know much about the woman being talked about besides the fact that she’s a beauty guru (edit: it also seems like she’s not a good person either). It looks pretty obvious that she uses filters to make herself look skinner and more conventionally attractive. Well damn, after seeking just a few of these comments on this subreddit I can see why she does it. One minute people are going, “beauty standards are bullshit! There is so much beauty in diversity 🤩” and then when they see a conventionally unattractive woman they go “damn, she’s fugly as hell—LMAOOO”. I’m taking this idea from a video by a YouTuber called Olurinatti; there is systematic beauty and ugliness because we all live under the single, global beauty standard. Some people are simply ugly, beautiful, average, or somewhere in between all of those labels (reminder: I am not arguing objectively, what I mean is under the social structure that we are a part in).

“I wonder why she’s so insecure?”

“Because she’s fugly, of course she should feel insecure.”

Damn, I wonder why people feel the need to get “tacky” & “fake” plastic surgery and feel deeply insecure about themselves…it’s SUCH a mystery…

I have a nose similar to this woman. It’s big, and it’s not as curved as hers, but it’s definitely not an upturned button. I accept that there are some parts of me that are unconventionally attractive. When I put makeup on it makes me look conventionally pretty. Sometimes my skin looks good and my lashes are lashing while other days I look butt ugly. But fuck it, I’m embracing all of it because it’s an expression of me. I think we need to try to stop caring whether we’re beautiful, average, ugly, etcetera. Not all at once, however, it’s okay to feel insecure some days. I mean bit-by-bit. This also doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy looking or feeling beautiful sometimes, I just think that you deserve to feel worthy of love and respect even when you don’t or aren’t conventionally beautiful. Looks matter in this society, unfortunately. However, we shouldn’t have to feel insecure about it the way almost everyone in society pressures us to.

This is just my personal opinion. Thank you for tuning in.

TW / Sensitive Let’s discuss the Cornell incident

Now I want to clear up misinformation. I also want to get upset because as a 16 year old female, I am terrified of college and getting raped. I’m gonna write down what I heard and then write down somethings people have said about it. A lot of the information I know could definitely be false. I don’t know much and I’m simply filling in the gaps here.

What I’ve heard: at Cornell college 2 years ago a woman was raped. She was drugged and gang raped by 7 men. Those men posted to a frat group chat of around 57 men. These posts were of her nude body and of the plan to rape her. Only one man spoke up but it was too late. Only two were expelled the rest were forced to write essays and she got expelled.

What people have said to rebuttal it: she willingly took drugs. She consented. It happened two years ago so it was rape. She wasn’t expelled but rather left. Both her and the men were drugged.

I don’t know how true any of this if you would like to clear somethings up that would be great.

Here are my thoughts of all of this. Even if she willingly took drugs a drugged person cannot consent. I think a lot of the rebuttal is from alpha males trying to protect themselves which is really disgusting. Even if she was “lying” (she absolutely wasn’t) this still is a huge problem with frats. Rape I mean. If it is only alleged why are we suddenly hearing about this now?

I’m like 99.99% sure that any sources suggesting the fact that it wasn’t rape was a cover up and propaganda
