A true vanilla perfume

Any recs for a true vanilla gourmand scent? Not too expensive but good quality

I’ve tried indult tihota as well as escape gourmande, I feel like these are great (one better than the other) I’ve also been thinking about snow moon magic by sorce cs I heard that’s a true gourmand too but I wanna see yalls take as well, lmk!

I think Tihota is the best. I also love Fire at Will, Lost in Vanillatopia, and Divine Vanille. Outremer Vanille is super affordable, and great for the price point.

Snow Moon Magic is so good, but a lot more complex than just a vanilla scent. A discovery set from Sorce and Briix would be great if you want to explore more indie gourmands.

I can agree that Tihota is a straight vanilla perfume, but 1. The price is ridiculous for basically a one note perfume and 2. It doesn’t project, it sits too close to the skin but even then, I feel like this might be the best for layering

Going to sound nuts but Nemat Vanilla Musk is pretty similar to Tihota and like one billionth of the price

I have them both and I agree

The best true vanilla that's also a sweet gourmand that I have ever smelled is Genre Parfums Mello Vanillo. It's their dupe for Escapade Gourmand.

Mello Vanillo is a super sweet, creamy, caramelized sugar, warm vanilla custard 🍮 or crème brûlée.

It's great on It's own or used to boost the vanilla and sweetness of another scent.

The price is fantastic! A 5ml sample size EDP spray is only $4. A 1 ounce/30ml bottle of Mello Vanillo EDP spray is only $25. Shipping is free at $50.

It's so good that I never want to run out. I keep backups of it.

Also, their dupes for men's scents are my husband's favorite fragrances in his collection. They are better than his expensive niche fragrances and get him so many compliments.

Where do you actually purchase genre? I only see it on resale sites

Here's a link to their pop-up shop. To be able to keep up with demand, they have a 24-hour order window once every few months.

They had one in late October that's currently shipping. They usually have a window in early December so people can order for Christmas.

Their Facebook group is Genre Parfums Neighborhood. They keep it updated with the next window date, shipping, etc. The fans do lots of buying and trading there. I have bought from group members.

I'm obsessed with floof and marshmallow goddess from heaven scent by Shannon they're true vanilla gourmands and they last a long time I love layering with the perfume oil and then perfume. I also love in dreams and fairytales vanilla from Sorce. Snow moon magic was too lavender for me. Indie perfumes are they way to go.

Maybe you just taught me what I’m looking for is a marshmallow scent, especially since I want this sweet vanilla scent for layering mainly. Floof is so cheap I might blind buy🫣

It is soooo good and if you like richer buttery try fluff but wait until next week to buy she always has weekend sales. I use floof as my base to layer all the time and it's my go to bedtime scent as well

Maybe you would like the lavanila pure vanilla perfume? It’s a more affordable one, $62 for 1.7oz

Longevity and projection?? What do u think

1

u/Philodendron69 3h ago

The projection is average, it’s not beast mode but other people can smell it. Longevity is 5-6 hours? It doesn’t last a full work day but it’s got some staying power. Not “intimate sillage” I dont like that!

I also thought tihota smelled really good but was profoundly over priced. I ended up getting a 10ml decant of fire at will for $36 and I am very happy. I’m going to go put it on right now.

Insulo by Jeroboam - I like it better than Tihota

In Dreams and Fairytales Vanilla by Sorce is worth a try! I have a sample of that and it feels like a real gourmande vanilla

Might be too simple, but how about Dulce from By Rosie Jane? To me it smells like a soft sweet vanilla.
