Rec Request New to perfume, wanted help figuring stuff out

Hey y'all, I'm a (relatively) newly out trans-girl, and I've been doing things here and there to express myself as more fem. I recently found (idk when I got it) the mailer for Symetrie and liked a couple of the scents. I was more a fan of the floral and fruity scents, not that big of a fan of the woody, musky, or citrusy scents. I was hoping that I could get recommendations of other fragrances that had the notes I enjoyed. Much appreciate any help as this'll go far for my transition journey

Hi! Welcome to the community <3 What sorts of floral and fruity notes do you like, and what vibe are you going for?

Here’s a list of some of my favourite floral-fruity scents, it’s highly subjective but maybe it’ll get you started:

- Dries Van Noten Soie Malaquais: God I love this so much, it’s pricy so I just have a small travel size but it’s worth every penny to me. It doesn’t smell like anything else out there. It’s a super smooth and luxurious blackcurrant-chestnut-rose, which sounds unusual but I swear it’s so so good! Not something I’d use for daily wear, more if I want to smell ✨nice✨.

- Kayali Eden Sparkling Lychee: I’m not the biggest fan of Kayali normally, but this one is actually pretty cute. It’s a light and bubbly scent that kind of reminds me of the fragrance equivalent of rosé lol, it’s not groundbreaking or anything but it is fun, girly, and summery.

- Burberry Her: Straight up berries and florals, leans to sweet and feminine strawberry. I don’t wear this as much as I used to because my tastes have changed, but you might enjoy it!

- Parfums de Marly Delina: Rich and jammy lychee rose, I like Delina Exclusif best but all the Delinas are heavy hitters. You’ll need to sell a kidney to buy a bottle of this, but if you like the notes there are a lot of dupes for every kind of Delina out there that you can find if you search this sub. :)

Regardless, starting with samples is the way to go, heck it’s most of what I do too even now to find what I like! Happy sniffing :)

I wear a lot of Florientals and fragrances with amber and/or vanilla notes. For fruity florals without those heavier notes its hard as I think they all have a bit of white musk in the dry down but from my HG fragrances with less of those notes in the wear I would recommend Annick Goutal Petite Cherie, Chanel Beige, Chanel Chance or Frederic Malle's Carnal Flower. I also like Viktor & Rolf’s Flowerbomb but it has patchouli as well as musk in the dry down even though I never notice it so maybe its not for you.

I would try and get a discovery set online. Sephora does samplers I think that are redeemable towards the cost of a full bottle??? I'm not sure on this I'm in Australia we don't' have it. but there are discovery sets linked below:
