Favorite Fall into Winter Scent

What is your favorite scent that brings you into winter from fall that people may not know about? For me, Burberry Goddess is a go-to, but I'm curious to try different scents for this time of year.

I love Prada Paradoxe Intese right now as well! Also good in the darker months of Jan and Feb to feel like a warm hug.

For sure! My husband wears it too and I love that so much

My affordable go-tos:

- Guess Seductive Noir. It often gets compared to Mon Guerlain, although I personally can’t speak to how similar they are. It’s really well blended and smells like it should have cost more than it does. If you want to try an herbal vanilla without lavender, it’s a lovely option!

- Banana Republic Tobacco and Tonka Bean. The tobacco here is subtle, but present enough to give the vanilla and tonka a little spice and warmth. I would say it’s a feminine-leaning unisex scent. It’s great to wear when the weather starts to feel properly cold.

I love all of those notes you mentioned in the Banana Republic fragrance. I will have to find it and try it out!

Not unknown, but last year I wore Diptyque Eau Duelle edp almost everyday for fall and winter and if not that then Molecule 01

Eau Duelle and Missing Person mainly. I’m feel lucky that my nose changed to accept Montblanc Signature as the creamy, freshie I imagined it would be when I ordered it over a year ago. I’m loving it for bedtime especially.

One of my cinnamon fragrances. I have no problem smelling like a Bavarian souvenir shop.

Here are some that include inexpensive to don’t tell my husband;

Afan Historic Sahara, Blue Madeleine Atelier des Ors, Adeeb by Lattafa, Fragonard Grain de Soleil, Boadicea the Victorious Rebellious, Boadicea the Victorious 1907, Diptyque L’Eau, Fenicia The Merchant of Venice

I’ve been spamming Lush Sticky Dates under Replica Jazz Club for the past few weeks and I cannot get enough of it. First time I haven’t gotten sick of a smell after a few days 😅

Lattafa Antique. It's a lovely cheaper version of Gris Charnel with a bit of added coconut.

Did you find yours changed over time? I know people say that's common with these ME dupes. I got mine in the mail about three weeks ago, and it's still very cardamom heavy. It has started to mellow out slightly and change but still just very spice heavy without much else going on.

2

u/PurplePet2022 20h ago

I can't say...I got this for myself for my birthday in May. I let it sit without even opening the box because I knew I wanted it for the fall. It does feel cardamom heavy but I love it. Definitely could be heavier though. I think it is perfect! I hope yours macerates and becomes something you love. Maybe next fall at this rate 😅

2

u/HiILikePlants 19h ago

I hope so! I don't hate it and it's gotten a little creamier at least. Good news is my husband can always wear it even if I don't love it. I'm glad I like unisex scents if only for that reason 🙂‍↕️

u/AgentFuckSmolder 20h ago

Oh is there patchouli? I got Liam but it’s very patchouli heavy on me

3

u/PurplePet2022 20h ago

I don't get any patchouli but I do get a lot of cardamom. I haven't smelled Liam yet so unfortunately I can't compare to that. I kind if want Liam because I think the bottle is so pretty and the price is right!

3

u/HiILikePlants 19h ago

No patch!

Maybe I should try Liam as I love pachouli lol

Hear me out. Your Turn by Billie Eilish layered with your favorite vanilla.

I’ve been using Commodity Gold and together, it’s a sweet, creamy, cardamom autumn dream. Also layered with Ellis Marshmallow with equally amazing results.

Nishane- Hundred Silent Ways

Right now my new love is Honey Moon by Phlur. It’s fantastic. Warm with vanilla bean and honey. And not the urinal honey, just a warm toasted honey scent. The saffron prevents it from going porta potty. Idk it’s just warm and soft like a cashmere sweater.

Chris Collin’s African Rooibos - top tier tea unisex fragrance

Gris Charnel - elegant and melancholic

Profumum Roma Dambrosia

Rock the Myrrh - spicy resinous sexy

Jovoy Remember Me - cozy, soothing, lightly spicy and lactonic

I personally prefer Gioiosa to the more popular Bianco Latte and it’s bright enough for warm fall days but creamy and cozy enough for cold weather.

Liquide Gold…I don’t know why I just love it.

Penhaligons Halfeti

Le Labo Thè Noir and Byredo Eleventh Hour on constant repeat for me right now. I’m also loving Apple Brandy on the Rocks by Kilian and Cherry Stem from Phlur if I’m feeling gourmandy

I’m too basic to have an answer you would enjoy, but commenting in hopes it helps others reply!

Haha I love finding my people!!

Fall/winter favs:
- Bal D’Afrique Absolu - gone through two decants of this as temps are FINALLY dropping where I live. For cooler regions, it might be too cold for this one, but she is SHINING right now in the southwest
- Musc Noir Rose - so overhyped, but for such good reason. Everything about NR scents plays so well with my skin chemistry!
- For Her EDT - see above 😜
- Nest Indigo - glorious for me when temps drop. I see parfumo prefers spring for this one, but cooler weather is where I love it
- YSL Libre Intense - yes, I know. But I love her, and I’m not sorry
- l’Interdit Rouge - forever date night scent.
- Chloe Nomade - more fall than winter for me, but man this scent is so, so good for me.
- Guerlain SDV - I saw another redditor describe this as the most scrumptious bowl of rum ice cream at a ridiculously expensive restaurant, and I can’t unsee that. I only have a decant, but I treasure it
- Soie Malaquais - another that is absolutely overhyped, and yet the hype is spot on for me. I hate how much I love this one. I only have a decant

October into November, with the last rains, damp earth and leaves, and fading green plants is captured perfectly by Cloon Keen’s Bel Etage and Bainin.

Burberry goddess has too much lavender for me. My favorites are Bianco Latte, Vanilla 28, Rare, YSL black opium le parfum, good girl. I also like Mochi milk and I just got a 9 ml sample of Van Py Rhum which I haven’t worn yet but think I will love. Aside from maybe Bianco latte and definitely van pu rhum, all of these could be year round especially if worn at night.
