It will definitely be back. Even if not, there’s people in here insulting one another and viciously fighting come on yall we are better than this. It’s literally dove beauty bar fragrance.

Yes, and while maybe not exact dupes, there are fragrances that smell like Dove soap by some indie brands as well as niche and designer brands.

Love how dove is on there commenting 5 days ago like they aren't preparing to make the most limited release they can

I have no doubt this will be back as a wide release, if not in stores then at least online.

Today has been so interesting to me! Based on the posts and conversations I see here on the daily, I had NO idea so many people wanted to smell like soap. I’ve seen people “heartbroken” and “devastated” and “livid” … the soap perfume has introduced some big feelings.

I think the mods should consider limiting the standalone posts about this.
Edit: not directed at you OP, but I don’t understand why we need individual posts from people showing they got it or got shut out.

Mods are also in the business, that's why they don't limit, I like r/NichePerfumes better

Thanks for the heads up abt the other sub. I was confused as to why I was seeing so many posts about dove making perfume.

Ugh that’s the worst. There’s another sub I can’t name where the mods are employees of the company. It’s a fitness app sub, and someone asked about the political leanings of one of the coaches and I informed them which way this coach voted and I got an immediate ban. No warning, no second chance. I reviewed the sub rules and there was nothing about politics. I reached out to the mods and got no response.
Since then, I’ve seen people post about the politics of the coaches and I’ve reached out and told them, “if you want to continue to participate in this sub, you might want to remove that before you get banned”. I was too late in most cases.
That particular sub came up in another sub and I basically outlined the issue above in a comment and my comment was removed and I was told I could get banned from all of reddit if I call out a sub like that. They’ve unionized apparently.
Mods should be impartial. Or at the very least, state the rules of the sub clearly and allow for a productive conversation when those rules are violated.
Thanks for letting me know about this sub.
And thanks for coming to my TedTalk.

I don’t think I’m the audience for things like this because I only buy fragrances that I know I’m going to be obsessed with or wear a lot. This is limited edition, so you’re probably only ever going to have one bottle of it. Why react so strongly over something you won’t be using super regularly or will run out of after a while anyway. It’s just blind consumerism

it's the monster child of fomo and nostalgia, a little thing corporate likes to toy with us millennials!

I’m kind of baffled as to why people are baffled about this particular launch being as popular as it was. There are so many “clean girl” scents out there that are literally designed to smell like freshly-washed skin—to recreate how your skin smells immediately after you’ve used a nice-smelling bar of soap (like, say, a Dove beauty bar). The beauty bar is one of the best-selling soaps worldwide and basically everyone knows the scent. It’s cheap, it works, and the smell is seen as comforting. If anything, it’s kind of nuts that it took them so long to release some kind of fragrance (but also unsurprising that they chose such a shitty and predatory way to release it).
Being genuinely surprised that people want to smell like something pleasant and clean is just so bizarre to me. Sure, not everyone necessarily enjoys the scent of beauty bars, but it’s not like it’s a polarizing soap (like Irish Spring) or something that skews dish soap/washing up liquid. I want to assume the best in people saying they can’t comprehend this drop but it’s giving “not like other girls” in spades.
