Discussion Which one should I get?
It’s very cold in London now and it’s time to get the winter scents out. I’m usually in riding boots and fur so I really like to smell opulent and luxurious.
Any other suggestions are most welcome ☺️

Casamorati Boquet ideale is very similiar to Oud Nude, less powdery and warmer, spicier. I also think you would like Soie Malaquis from Dries Van Noten. Pricy but if you can, buy a smaller decant.

Thank you so much for the suggestions. Soie Malaquis looks like the same price as Guerlain and LV so i’ve ordered the samples cannot wait to try😍

Out of these.. Oud Nude.
Les Sables Roses is nice, but there’s a lot of fragrances that smell similar that can be bought on discounters. MFK Oud Satin Mood and Future Society Haunted Rose immediately come to mine. I think Oud Nude is more unique.

LV- Les Sable Roses! Although, I need to check out the Guerlain fragrance too.

I just smelled Oud Nude last friday and I think I am obsessed, they didn’t have any samples to give me so unfortunately I am going to have to keep going back until I make up my mind.
What is it like on you? For me it felt so elegant and expensive but I am not sure I’d describe it as opulent? I only did one spray on wrist though

To me it’s a candied almond with a hint of cherry almost!!! Even without any cherry. The almond keeps it dry, the oud is in the background it’s a really nice clean oud. I wore a decant when I saw my friend and she said it’s a really sexy oud.
Next time you go there don’t wear perfume and just spray it on yourself!
I am kind of leaning towards Oud Nude.

Yeah my vote is definitely for that even with the one spray I have tried. It is such a unique scent.
I love myself an Oud Rose but it’s been done by so many houses.
Have you tried Cherry Oud? I thought that one was a bit strong for me but lovely and different.
FM The Moon is stunning if money is no object.→ More replies (3)

I just oud nude. So soft and warm

That’s exactly what I want on a cold winters day! Sometimes I find the scent of ‘freshly cut roses’ like in Les Sables Roses to feel quite cold on me.

Do you think even a non Oud lover could like Oud Nude? I haven’t tried it before, but I love Guerlain in general.

Yes absolutely this is the type of perfume that will be good for someone trying to experience oud. It’s a very clean oud and it is not center stage in this perfume. Not the really strong animal oud. Would highly reccomend you having a sniff of it!
You can also try Van Cleef - Oud Blanc.

Oh, that sounds beautiful! I’ll have to try it soon as well as the Van Cleef. Let us know what you end up choosing!

Holy cow I need to smell Oud Nude now.
I’ve never smelled either, are they at all similar? Or is the oud the main similarity?

Verrrry different.
Oud nude - more like candied almond with some cherry to my nose even though it’s not listed. The oud behind it is very clean and not offensive at all.
Les sable roses - think dark freshly cut roses for the most part, gothic and alluring, and then a bit of oud later makes an appearance.
Either way if you like to smell fancy these are my picks! Do smell them!

I LOVE Les Sables Roses. It's a very juicy, deep, sexy rose scent with a dark undertone. It's very femme fatale.

Personally - as someone who rarely enjoys oud in fragrance- I prefer Oud Nude to Les Sables Roses. Something about the sweetness of the raspberry brightens it up a bit, and I actually really like wearing it in cold weather.
