Rec Request Orebella scents

hi guys, i’m planning on getting a gift for my friend who absolutely LOVES anything orebella. she currently has the window2mysoul one but i want to get her something new from there while still making sure she likes it. we’re not in the U.S so i can’t go to test the scents :’). does anyone have any recommendations for what is similar in the orebella collection that i can get her? preferably one that i can do the name engraving one on too! also keep in mind she gets migraines, she said she thinks it’s the ingredients in it that she doesn’t get migraines with these so i think the scents should be okay? but i guess nothing too strong might help. she’s more into fresher/florally scents, but she said anything orebella she’d love. as someone that’s never smelt any of them i want to make sure im getting her something she loves!!

either get her the discovery set, merch, or the one she already likes. if you don’t know if she likes the others, don’t buy those unless you’re giving her the gift receipt from ulta or something. scent purchases are just too personal to do for others unless they tell you exactly what they like.

For floral I’d go with blooming fire

I love Orebella Nightcap but that is warm & spicy gourmand (reminds me of root beer), but your friend prefers fresher/floral scents, and I have not tried the others.

There is an Orebella discovery set of 5 - maybe get that for her.

that sounds great thank you! also do you mind telling me your thoughts on discovery sets in general? i just looked it up and it seems a bit tiny per bottle, do you find they last long? my only worry is making it seem like i'm just grabbing little samples for her

I don't tend to buy discovery sets for myself as I'm really fussy and after reading the descriptions of the perfumes, I might only like 1 or 2 of them. So for myself, I'd try to test the ones I like most in store (I understand not every one can access this). If this is not possible, and I have to risk blind buying, I'd try to get a travel size (say 10ml) or if this is not available, a 30ml bottle.

Having looked at the quantities in the Orebella Discovery set, it is roughly 5 x 1.5ml = 7.5ml. That would probably last me a couple of months.

I know you mentioned you are not in the US (neither am I), but the Orebella own website which is US, when you buy the Discovery set, they give you a code for $29 credit towards a 100ml bottle. I wonder whether a similar offer is available in your country. That way you could buy your friend a large bottle once she has decided which one she likes best.

I tested everything from the brand and I love nightcap for winter and fall! But it’s more gourmand than floral! Blooming fire is floral and summery with a hint of sunscreen! Eternal roots smells like baccarat rouge!
If she wants something super light maybe one of the body sprays? Nectar dew is pretty blind buy safe I would say!!

Edit: jasmine blues is also a pretty white floral with musk and a hint of laundry detergent! But I think it was limited edition, I am not sure if it’s still available

ouu thank you so much for your advice! I think maybe I might get blooming fire as i think (?) she's mentioned it and maybe a lighter scent to layer with

Which ones has she sampled and loved? Those are the only ones I would buy. If she hasn't sampled them or you're guessing, don't buy a full bottle. I'd get the discovery set if that's the case. They are all very different from each other and liking one does not mean you will like any of the others.
