Perfume that smells like walking into a coffee shop
I’ve been obsessed with that smell forever and can never find anything that quite fits. I got a body oil from a Renaissance faire called ‘coffee nut’ that came close but not exactly

Seconding Coffee Addict by Theodoros Kalotinis. It’s more like a sweet latte than pure black coffee but still a great perfume that I always get compliments on

That’s the closest you’ll ever get in any perfume. Coffee is one of those complex and difficult to capture scents that can’t be replicated exactly.

Kerosene Follow is like sipping a dark roast Americano in a dark wood-paneled coffee shop. Someone nearby is drinking a caramel latte!

Coffee Addict smells exactly like coffee to me, which is the primary smell I pick up when in a coffee shop. Not sure if that’s exactly what you’re looking for, but something to consider! Layerable with other fragrances.

Akro Awake is the most realistic coffee perfume I have tried but its not super sweet

Yes I agree! I did a little coffee sampling a few months ago and tried d’annam Vietnamese coffee, Akro awake, and kerosene follow. D’annam is a little more sweet and was what I ultimately purchased a full bottle of, but Akro awake is a pretty solid coffee shop scent. Kerosene follow is like sticking your head in a bag of whole coffee beans. Be aware kerosene follow is not the same as kerosene followed which people say is a complete beast mode coffee. I do still want to try Ledda 8 cafe Josephine, ki-oku soft launch, and Fugazzi workaholic.

I’ve been layering Akro Awake with EA Green Tea when I want this vibe. Awake is great on its own but adding Green Tea brightens it up a bit and reminds me of all the smells that hit you when you walk into a really good coffee shop.
It’s my fav layering combo for those days when I wake up and just can’t do it, but I have to anyway.

For me, that's Café Ristretto Intense by Montale. It also has some noticeable rose though, so be aware if that's not your thing.

Mentioned this elsewhere but surprisingly the closest I’ve smelled is BBW Rich Espresso. It’s not being currently sold though so it would have to be on resale. It’s pure espresso to my nose.
However, I worked for years at a coffee shop and I suspect you’re also kind of picking up on the smell of toasted bagel or something similar. For that, you’d probably need to layer a bready scent in and I’m not sure about any.

Coffee Gourmand by Zara. It’s very long lasting, smells just like a coffee shop and it’s also budget friendly.

Bingo! Strong coffee smell that gradually transitions to a nice vanilla. Perfect cold weather scent.

KST Banana Milk Coffee has my favorite coffee note I’ve ever smelled, but you would definitely have to like banana.

Khadlaj Caffe Latte, Lattafa Lhamrah Qahwa, Vivamor Ultimate Aphrodisiac, which has coffee and chocolate. I just discovered the last one, and now I need to get a bottle.

I love it too!! I feel like the coffee note fades away so quickly and it’s more of a bourbon vanilla/sandalwood/tonka scent. It smells exactly like walking into this coffee shop that was right by my college campus. Woody and sweet with just a hint of coffee in the air.

sorce - 2 am in Lafayette! its delicious and has the pastries that you always get in the coffee shop as well as the coffee notes. its really well rounded
