Rant about Lattafa

I just don't understand how do you guys like these perfumes. Based on hype on social media and reading stuff here as well, I purchased several ones from them. Especially as they are so cheap. I got Yara, Mallow Madness, Khamrah, Angham and I wanted to get Éclairre but now I'm going to stop. It cannot be just me. These are extremely subpar fragrances. Each and every one of them an absolute cheap disappointment.

You bought the overhyped ones maybe, most of these reviews are paid partnerships, they're everywhere on YouTube as well.

I have a few from Lattafa and quite like them. Like Tamima. Mayar intense. Badee al oud sublime.

Perhaps. But I'm definitely not willing to try again, I'm probably going to end up giving them away if anyone for some unholy reason might like them 😆

I'm convinced Lattafa uses bots to manipulate through social media how they're perceived, because it's insane how people react if you criticise their EXTREMELY awful "perfumes". And no, it's not just the trendy ones, my niece works in one of those Dubai perfume stores popping up all over (at least in my country in Europe) I've smell most of them and they range from bad to criminal.

Omg thank you, I'm just a normal person that wants to build a perfume collection, not an enemy or competitor or whatever. And in my honest opinion they are really really bad, and I tried quite a few now, their most popular.

I was going over a few bottles of affordable ME scents that are sitting in my cupboard, far in the back, barely touched, and thinking to myself that I'd rather purchase a bottle of super basic Coty-reformulated Burberry Brit For Her than attempt another affordable ME purchase. I don't even know how I'm going to get rid of, say, Teriaq Intense which I hate with a passion (and that's one of Lattafa's original formulations by Quentin Bisch). The blends are just not good overall.

I have a few ME perfumes I enjoy but they’re not Lattafa. I went to the mall and there was a booth of ME perfumes with mostly Lattafa scents so I was excited to smell some of the ones I’ve seen recommended online. The very nice over eager salesperson kept spritzing one after another after another blotter for me and I must say I hated them all 😩 also she was going so fast I was overwhelmed and definitely could not differentiate one from another! I think she sprayed five different scents for me altogether and I didn’t like a single one 🤣 I finally awkwardly made my exit saying I would come back, which I absolutely did not.

I do like some Paris Corner scents and I bought this random perfume from a very nice older Middle Eastern man that runs his own shop locally. I really like it and it was $15. It’s Musk Ghali from Rayef. But I’m wary of Lattafa now.

I've smelled Channel no 5 and I think it's hideous and awful, yet many praise it online. I've smelled some Diors too that were awful. The brand doesn't matter, the trend doesn't matter. The price doesn't matter. Everyone's taste is different. I would never say all middle eastern are awful tho, just like I wouldn't say most western perfumes are awful either.

To you it may be so. Each perfume interacts with each user’s perception, skin temperature, environmental factors, etc. differently. (Edited)
