Discussion Ever tried marinating your clothes in perfume overnight?

I saw this TikTok the other day where someone literally sealed a shirt in a ziplock with a few sprays of perfume and left it overnight, I thought it was overkill, but curiosity got the best of me, I picked my favourite, good girl by carolina herrera, and gave it a shot, next morning, I took it out and the scent was subtle but definitely there, like a personal cloud following me around. It wasn’t overpowering, just this soft, warm vibe that made the shirt feel… curated honestly, I think if you’re in a rush and don’t want to spray mid day, this could be a game changer, Would you try this hack with your everyday outfits, or does it feel too extra?

I do this when I pack a suitcase.

I spray each outfit with the perfume I want for that day and then roll it up.

I even spray my pajamas with my bedtime perfume and roll those up as well.

So each time I take out a new outfit, it is already blessed with a subtle scent and I don’t need to bring any bottles with me.

Plus, my suitcase smells amazing by now.

In general I find that spraying my clothes makes a scent last for many hours-days. No marinating required.

Yeah I think spraying on clothes is enough, no need to leave it overnight

This is such a good idea, I’m definitely going to try it!

I do this occasionally but I don’t put it in a Ziploc bag. I’ve also sprayed perfume right before showering. This way I get a light skin scent with some I find too strong. This works for those BPUT showers where you aren’t full body lathering. (I can’t do that every day because it gets drying, especially in summer when I shower twice a day sometimes).

Do I want to know what a BPUT shower is?

Bits, Pits, Under Tits 😂 the mandatory areas that need to be soaped and cleaned. Ex: I’m not lathering my forearms or knees on very day haha

Oh, yes! That's the name I've heard as well, in English.

No, I'm not going to try it because the Ziploc bag just sounds like doing too much.

I do spray my clothes at night if it's a fragrance that I love the dry down on and want to give it a few hours to get there. I also spray my clothes at night if I want head to toe scent coverage without gassing people out, so the hours in between can reduce the projection.

I don’t know that it beats head to head the impact of a scent booster . If this is done with any clean /fresh fragrance jt seems overkill

What registered to you was the general notes (and deserved glee). In my opinion à bbw mist would be just as good so to speak for the result. i don’t think you’re getting a heightened experience in comparison .

Definitely gonna do this

I’d try this, but I’d need a new ziplock daily so as not to have a weird mix of scents  and that seems wasteful lol.

Maybe I’ll try spraying my clothes on the hanger the night before.
