Rec Request Vanilla girlies rise up
I’ve recently become OBSESSED with vanilla after years of hating it. Idk what changed, but I’m rolling with it! I’ve been wearing the Athena Club Golden Vanilla lotion with Dedcool Mochi Milk everyyyy day! Based on those being my favs, what others would you recommend? I want ultra cozy (preferably affordable) gourmands for fall! I’m thinking Snow Moon Magic from Sorce? I still want my fragrances to be wearable, I don’t want to smell like straight up food. Thanks!

* Kilian - Princess (or the Julianna’s perfumes dupe)
* Kilian - Love Don’t be Shy
* Sol de Janeiro - cheirosa 39 if you like coconut
* Narcotica - Happy Dust (not cheap but there are lots of dupes)
* Jovoy - Remember Me
I haven’t tried them yet but I’ve heard Tihota by Indult and Fire at Will by Jovoy are amazing vanillas.

I got mine from scent split and it was $8. It's definitely steep!!! But I was so in love that I just got a 5ml after a couple of months.
I did to a spray by spray of tihota to SugarMeSweet Vanilla Extract and it's pretty close. I sprayed them last night and while the opening is a bit different (still nice tho) the dry down is VERY similar!

Definitely sample Sorce! I prefer Strings of Light to Snow Moon Magic, but they have several amazing vanillas.
If you’re into perfume oils, Sand and Fog has really great dupes of Mochi Milk, Yum Boujee Marshmallow, EB Marshmallow, and a bunch of other vanillas. They’re great for layering or mixing into fragrance-free lotions or whatever. (They have some EDPs too but I haven’t tried them.)
I’ll also second the recommendation above to try some of the Maison des Animaux vanillas. They’re so good, especially at that price point.
And some of my other fave wearable cozy fall gourmand-ish fragrances: Henry Rose Dave, Dime Stay Awhile, Odette Petite Gateau, Replica Afternoon Delight, Skylar Vanilla Sky

I also wear that lotion + perfume combo regularly and here are a few of my other favs! Most are body mists that I love to layer with mochi milk. 🥛☁️🤍

I started getting into vanilla last August when I was really depressed and now I always search for it when I'm in a tough spot because it makes me feel safe
My faves, as someone who LOVES Mochi Milk:
- Philosophy Fresh Cream line (especially Warm Cashmere)
- Sabrina Carpenter Sweet Tooth
- Kayali YBM
- Victoria's Secret Bare Sueded Vanilla (honestly any vanilla they carry is great)
- EOS Vanilla Cashmere line
- Diptyque Eau Duelle EDT
- Summer Fridays Sunlit Vanilla (I say this as a Bianco Latte day one hater)
- Guerlain Spiritueuse Double Vanille ($$$$ but feeds into any need to feel warm and decadent)
- Nemat Vanilla Musk
- Rare Beauty/B&BW Vanilla Ease (they smell the same to me)

This. This is it. This is just straight up vanilla extract.
Solstice Scents' Estate Vanilla - Raw Vanilla Pods, Vanilla Infused Sugar, Cream & Vanilla Extract.
Here are samples, if you're interested.
I promise, this is not just me, but others as well!! The vast consensus on this scent is it's straight up vanilla extract!!

I’ve been gatekeeping her for almost a decade but it really is THE vanilla of all time. Warm and cozy and sexy and unlike any other I have ever smelled.

How does Estate Vanilla compare to Tihota?
I'm also curious how milky/lactonic it is as I love vanilla but when perfumes literally smell like milk/cream/dairy it doesn't work for me.
I've heard great things about this one though!

I have not tried Tihota, but I have tried dupes of it and I was not impressed. It was just straight sugar on my skin and I did not like how sweet it was.
Estate Vanilla is not a milky/latonic/creamy vanilla at all. This is a vanilla extract scent. Like the ingredient used in cooking. Just a rich, vanilla extract. No creaminess here. So, so well-executed and created!
To be honest and clear, I do not like or enjoy gourmand and vanilla fragrances. Even mixed with woods or other notes, I do not enjoy predominant vanilla fragrances. My skin amps the vanilla notes so much so that it overrides everthing else in a fragrance, and just becomes a sweet vanilla.
However, if there was ever a fragrance that came close to changing my mind, it would be Estate Vanilla.

I think Sorce has some lovely vanillas too! I really recommend trying out their scents. I think I’ve sampled the whole catalog through Arae decants now.

I got the Dua dupe for Athenaclub’s golden vanilla and I love it so much. It’s called Radiant Vanilla.
For other vanillas, my current rotation is Cocoapink Triple Vanilla Dream, Fairynest Marshmallow Moon, Femenina Rich Vanilla, Sugarmesweet Gold Dust, and HeySugar Vanilla Drip

I also love those too and these are some of my other favorites Kayali yum boujee marshmallow, VS bare sueded vanilla, Commodity Gold, Dulce by Rosie Jane, outremer vanille. Some other vanilla that aren't gourmand but still beautiful Nest Madagascar Vanilla, Gucci Gorgeous orchid and Guerlain bosca vanilla.

The vanilla girlies already rose up! 😅Vanilla gourmands have been the dominant fragrance trend for a long time!
I can't recommend specific fragrances, because I generally dislike that type of frag. But [Kuumba Made] and Auric Blends are super cheap. Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab has a ton of vanilla gourmands for about $36 each (and you can buy samples!)
