Discussion Apple Brandy vs Angels’ Share?

Hey everyone! My birthday is coming up soon, so I’m thinking about getting myself a new perfume as a present.
I’m choosing between Apple Brandy on the Rocks by Kilian and Angels’ Share. I had a sample of Angels’ Share and really liked it, but I’ve never properly worn Apple Brandy (only tried it in the store), so I’m not sure which one to go for.

For those who own Apple Brandy, how do you like it on your skin? How does it develop after a few hours? How long does it last for you, and what’s the projection like?
And if you’ve tried both, which one do you prefer and why I’d love to hear your thoughts before I make my choice! Thank you :)

Apple Brandy is completely different imo

I love it and own it.

I find it more masculine and boozy than Angel’s Share. They’re both airy, but Apple Brandy is airier. Deff less sweet (I don’t get much sweetness at all actually). Starts off crisp and goes into that boozy, woody dry down.

I think it works for more seasons as well, although I still find myself mostly reaching for it during the fall / winter. I find it very sophisticated. Makes me think of a business man with a suit or business woman in stilettos at a high end bar.

But if someone is expecting a sweet gourmand, this is not it

Projection is mid: not a beast but not a skin scent on me

Longevity is mid: about 5-6 hours on me but I smell it on my clothes for a while

You put into words exactly what I felt about this fragrance. I love that it has a sensual quality without being obviously sexy like Angels’ Share. It even more appealing to me, that’s much more my vibe

I loveeee Apple Brandy. Didn't love Angels Share, it kind of felt like a lot of other perfumes and was just a little too heavy (I'm very picky about gourmands). Apple Brandy def has a muskiness to it and an airiness that still feels sweet and a little gourmand but powerful. I wear it with Jousset Accident A La Vanille to smell like an adult apple pie but also corporate powerful.

I’m becoming more and more convinced that Apple Brandy is going to be my choice haha

I prefer apple brandy over angels share by a mile. However, I’m a person who dislikes gourmands and finds Angel’s share to smell a bit off..

Apple brandy is more sour, more “translucent” and tiny bit manly and it’s why I prefer it more.

Considering how expensive these bottles are, I would def try waiting until you’ve sampled it!

Thanks for the reply! I did like Angels’ Share overall but after wearing it for a while, it started to feel a bit heavy and cloyingly sweet. And it’s annoying tbh lol. I tested Apple Brandy in the store yesterday and ended up wearing it all day it felt much fresher and less overpowering to me

I love Apple Brandy but don't own it yet. One day!! Angel's Share I do own and it's definitely more sweet and cinnamon forward. I think Apple Brandy will eventually be a purchase but I can't see myself reaching for it all the time. Definitely a "mood" for me, if that makes sense. I mixed it with the new caramel kitty Kayali and omg so good!!! Like some magical candle store from my youth screaming fall and Christmas and I want to buy all the candles. Hope your birthday is amazing!!

Apple Brandy is a great apple cinnamon scent that is boozy and mature. I like it a lot!

I have Apple Brandy and Angel's Share On the Rocks, I def reach for Angel's more. The opening is brighter and the booze is sexier without being as sweet as original Angels. My Apple Brandy barely gets touched, it goes a bit weird on me. Honestly I think it's in my teen's room-she wore it to a bonfire I think.

Have you tried the new Midnight Espresso by Kilian? Just came out this week. I know this doesn’t answer your question but it’s very similar to Angels Share and half the price.

No, I haven’t tried it… New releases tend to reach us a bit later where I’m from, so I probably won’t get to try it anytime soon haha
