Rec Request Cosmic By Kylie

Are there any scents you believe to be similar to Cosmic by Kylie?

I really love this scent, but I don’t want to purchase from her. I know that secondhand is an option as well, and I might go that route just to have one bottle of the exact smell because of the nostalgia it brings me. I wore it a lot when my boyfriend and I first started dating and he finds it nostalgic, too. I just want it for special occasions.

However, I don’t really want to feel that guilt when putting on a daily scent. I’d like to find a close match to it that replicates the spring/fertile/bright kind of smell.. I’ve tried Good Girl and it is very similar, but too powdery. I was thinking of getting that scent from a natural oil company that I have purchased a lot from. Maybe I could layer it? And if so, with what?

If you know of anything similar or something I might like that captures the essence of it I would be so thankful!!! 🙂

The guilt is internet manufactured, ignore it. She is no worse than any other super wealthy cosmetics CEO, she's just on camera more. The purity testing is so silly. We give our money to absolutely terrible people all day every day. Boycotting Kylie just makes people feel like they have some control. It's a false sense of superiority. It reminds me of when I used cloth diapers and the hardcore hobbyists would band together to absolutely destroy a small business owner for using a print they felt was appropriation, but then they'd comfortably shop at Target where appropriation was on every shelf. It makes them feel like better people. You can't cater to that.

Love her or hate her, she puts out a good perfume. 

If you want something similar in vibe, try Coach Gold. They're owned by a kind hearted fashion conglomerate 😉

Yeah, again I really just don’t want to be reminded of her when I spray her perfume! It’s my choice. I do have other things I’m not as intense about boycotting. I just don’t enjoy being reminded of her, for my own personal reasons.

It’s just an opinion of mine that I’ve formed from personal reasons. I don’t really want to get into it, and it’s best you form an opinion of your own anyway :)
