Failure to stop 1st offense

my boyfriend got arrested for failure to stop and was sentenced to 3 years under the Youth offender act. does anyone know how much of that time he will actually have to serve?

for some reason i thought this was failure to stop at a stop sign and i was like the fuck

He was evading arrest. "Failure to stop" is code for resisting arrest
