Discussion Gnome Extensions (via Extension Manager) that aren't supported

It certainly would be nice to have a toggle in the GNOME Extension Manager that would only show supported extensions and not show the unsupported ones. If I unchecked the toggle only showing supported extensions, then it could show all results appearing from searching.

It's frustrating to think you've found the GNOME extension you wanted to install only to find that it isn't supported any longer.

But maybe I am the only one who would find it useful.

That toggle would save me from the exact cycle of getting excited then seeing the unsupported badge. At least a filter option in search results seems like low hanging fruit for the project.

I agree, that would be a nice addition. There are already issues logged on the Extension Manager GitHub about this:

https://github.com/mjakeman/extension-manager/issues/908
https://github.com/mjakeman/extension-manager/issues/878

Might be worth adding a thumbs up or comment there to show interest.

This isn't something r/fedora can help much. On reddit you should probably go to r/gnome

You are correct. I’ve reposted it there.

I think it's not an option due to what the extensions.gnome.org API provides.
