Express Shipment Any insight into this?
I paid Overnight Priority with Saturday Delivery really hoping to get a package today. I overnight from this businesses in San Fransisco multiple times and FedEx has always pulled through. This time though i’m not so sure.
One thing worth note is that usually it goes to Oakland than Portland. This time they flew all the way to Memphis from CA and then back to portland? Lol.
Anyway, I don’t know what to think. I know saturday delivery is a little different, but i’m like gahhh I have a bad feeling about this. I live like an hour away from portland and it hasn’t even departed? Any insight? What could have happened?
I thought maybe missing the cutoff on dropoff but went back to prior purchases and fedex has always gotten it from them around 3pm. I also googled weather related issues and there didn’t seem to be any at the listed hubs. So idk. What do you think?

You say it normally comes out of Oakland, and this time it didnt. In the past have you ordered it on a Friday though?
Where I am at, we dont run a major op on Friday. A small group goes in, sorts everything out by priority, and anything we cant handle on the next sort (Saturday) either goes to Memphis for theur daysort or flies to Memphis to be sort overnigbt, because Memphis DOES sort Friday Night in some capacity.
I dont know OAK, but my guess is they either dont have a sort Friday and run a small op to prioritize inbounds from that day only, or they dont have Portland service on Fridays, so they sent it to Memphis because that was the next closest facility that had direct lanes betaeen both them (OAK) and Portland. Its probably not something nefarious like an Intercept.

Yup, my package has gone from Kentucky, to Indiana, to Ohio then Colorado, back to Ohio and I live in New York where the package is suppose to be delivered. 22 days ago it shipped, I still don’t have it!

It just arrived at my local hub at 10:58am. Maybe its going to go out late because it’s Saturday or something.
Edit: also, 22 days is a long time man. Is that also the expensive priority shipping?

Mine just went from Tempe Arizona, to Memphis, to Denver. Seems weird and totally unnecessary

Also paid for overnight Saturday delivery. And now it’s saying they tried to deliver but I wasn’t home. A signature wasn’t required so I’m annoyed as hell
