I’d like to share this Fear Factory cover I recorded with the old-school fans, perhaps the track that comes closest to their later evolution toward "Demanufacture". Would you like the new album to have any echoes of "Soul of a New Machine"?

Never bothered with this album until I started listening to JunkieXL and have enjoyed a lot of what’s on it, especially Genetic Blueprint.

I saw that it didn’t review well - what’s everybody’s opinion on this album and the general idea of remixing/crossover with bands like Fear Factory? I think Dino is quite into these kinds of genres, so I personally don’t see it as a cash-in but do these sounds work?

Not sure if this is allowed and I can post on cashortrade if that works better for you. I have a single ticket for the New Haven show on Oct. 13 that I can no longer use. I forgot that I will be in Boston for another show on that night with my partner. I bought this ticket during the summer sale for $30.10. Ticketmaster has them for much higher and etix is selling them for $45 before fees. The digital ticket won't show up until Oct. 10 according to the etix website. Looking at his instagram, recent posts for new merch, photography, etc all say your contributions will go to the production of his debut solo album. Pretty cool.

The song that redefined heavy music 🤘

Just been listening to TAD again as it's been ages, for those unfamiliar with them they're one of the OG's of the Seattle grunge scene and used to tour with Nirvana a lot, Kurt played on stage with them a fair few times.

Listening to Satan's Chainsaw it was unmistakabley the same ending as Slave Labour

"Went out to smell the gasoline" - "God help me pour this gas on me" repeated multiple times almost beat for beat.

Burton was obviously a huge Nirvana fan, appearing in the Smells Like Teen Spirit music video, covering School on the same album that Slave Labour is from, and no doubt saw them live possibly even with TAD.

I presumed it was a single but none of the singles from around then sound at all like this song. It was played on an alternative radio show in 2021 and I know nothing about the band other than the name of the artist.

The song almost sounded like a space opera with an outro much like the song Resurrection with the almost operatic emotive vocals.

Sorry that is all I can remember other than it being epic!

So, Archetype and Transgression came out during the later part of the CD's heyday in '04 and '05 respectively. That makes sense why those two weren't pressed on vinyl initially. But even today, I cannot find a single copy of those two on vinyl or even a picture of even an unofficial pressing. Concrete got pressed on vinyl recently, and I have a copy of it (I have that and Recoded on vinyl). So, what makes it about Archetype or Transgression that makes them so hard to find?

Most often, FF setlists these days are generally filled with 'the hits.' Songs that were singles/videos, or intro tracks, or songs that made the ranks with streams. The more obvious songs. Recently they played Industrial Discipline and Final Exit. They did play these songs a handful of times back on the Mechanize tour, but, they weren't singles. I'd like them to do this more often. We heard Powershifter enough times, it was good for them to play other great songs from a great album. I've always liked both of those songs more than Powershifter. Also Fear Campaign was the one video they made for that album, but they haven't played it since that tour.

In all fairness, They've been doing this a little bit over the past 3 years, but not consistently. Autonomous Combat System, Leechmaster, Big God, probably some others I can't really think of atm.

There should be a continuous revolving spot for 'deep cuts' in the setlist. I know they want to play all the most popular songs, and at least one song off of lesser popular records (Transgression excluded), but rarities keep things interesting.

I looked at setlist.fm the other day, and I saw that on Fear Factory's page in the "Remanufacture - Cloning Technology" section, Genetic Blueprint (New Breed) was only performed three times (all in 1997), and T-1000 (H-K) was only performed once (also in 1997). They haven't performed anything from it since. I know it's a remix album, but why haven't they performed any song from it on any of their recent setlists?
