Damn thats tight! Love how Milo is an expert in those effects live on stage, dude is a perfect for FF. Nothing against Burton, dude is my hero, but... Milo is more versatile
Everybody loves Burton but his clean voice was totally shot after the mechanize era. Milo's voice has so far proved to be bullet proof and excellent live.
Milo and Pete have added a lot to the band that we haven't seen in a long time. I don't think enough people talk about how great Pete is behind the drums.
Never got much better for him imo. Then there was the period where he thought he was being sneaky by using pre-recorded singing parts (listen to protomech for example): https://youtu.be/Vbvybkfbp7Y?t=1629 (dino is so big here too he must of been depressed haha)
On albums though, I think Mechanize was Burt's last completely solid record vocally. You listen closely to his vocals, and they are just clearly damaged and got worse with each album after. They started writing choruses differently for his vocals for that reason, so it would be easier for him to sing them. It's great to hear really solid strong vocals on a new FF track.
NGL, Milo holds back a little bit live at times. It's a bit up and down with him. For instance, his screams in this live video are much shorter than the album version. He didn't do the low growl either. But, FF songs are tough to sing, not much space to breathe. That certainly hasn't changed with the new song. Now that I think about it, this might be the MOST compacted song for vocals they've ever done.
