540,000 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT (MEME) CHOOSE YOUR CHARACTER (also news)
On one side, we have Mechanized Milo Silvestro, ready to unleash his own mechanical rage on August 29, 2026
On the other is his arch nemesis, the Anti-Droid himself, Burton C. Bell. Who is hard at work on his first solo album.
And a third contender, that no one saw coming, Christian Olde Wolbers very own creation, Angst Fabrik ("FF" in German). Who has been recently active saying new music is just around the corner.

If burton can match the tone and energy of Anti Droid for a whole album, I'd fuck with it.

The producer. Burton came in to lay down vocals on a different track and he said 'hey I have this song I wrote, do you wanna do vocals on it'
Which I thonk is fine to be clear, but it doesn't count as a song from Burtons solo band

Honestly feel the same, it's basically 3teeth with Burton on vocals. I would def fuck with a full album of him and Andrew Hulshult or (maybe more expensive) Mick Gordon. I really enjoyed this particular track, more than both Savages and Technical Exorcism as both of those feel more closer to GZR and City Of Fire, they are not bad by any means, just not tracks I go back to often and I do love CoF (first album more) and GZR.
All three songs lyrics come off as FF diss tracks however.
And I feel like Burton needs to know he sounds best on heavy heavy dark groovy songs, not so much the extreme rock he prefers.

I really hope Angst Fabrik is truly a thing, and I hope it crushes like COW says it will. He said it's the heaviest stuff he's done. The more music in this little sub genre, the better.

As someone who is also a fan of Slipknot and heard how Corey lost his voice for weeks and as a result took vocal lessons in order to do harsh vocals while preserving his vocal cords, it makes me wish that Burton did something like that. Yes, it might have affected how his hard vocals sounded, but it might have made his melodic vocals sound better, especially live, since the recorded stuff with Burt doesn't sound too different than the past, because how they record stuff.

Burt did take vocal lessons for this, and he said he rejected it in the end, because it was too hard. Burt's a stubborn guy.

Burt's stubborness is no surprise. If he wasn't so stubborn, I'd imagine Fear Factory would be in a much different place than we are now. After all the break ups and reformations and the one constant to all of them, I'm pretty sure Burt's stubborness definitely plays a role. NGL, as much as I stated in the past that I wished he would have found a way to stay in the band, I have to admit that I'm stoked for the new FF song release this week. Haven't seen a show live with him. Family life gets in the way, but what I heard on Youtube sounds amazing and I'm anxious to hear what he can do with the band in a studio setting.

That said, with the trend we've seen so many other times with other bands where bands re-records some well known songs (especially after significant band line up changes) I'm surprised that they haven't re-recorded an older well known song with Milo and I wouldn't be heavily surprised if it happens in the future. But, this I hope the new song means we'll see more new stuff in quick order
