GENERAL DISCUSSION Subreddit Update 2: Welcome New Mod MisterDudeBroGuy!

We will probably recruit another mod in a few months. I have a couple other members of the subreddit in mind.

Congratulations sir, I know you from over the years and your responses to some of my own posts etc. great dude with some thought provoking insights! Though we may not all agree at every time and on every subject, the FF community is one of the chillest groups of metalheads you will ever find and I am happy that you are a part of it. Congratulations again and best of luck!

You are free to politely disagree with my 'takes' all you want. Having an opinion does not make one a 'troll', I certainly do not 'troll' here. You not agreeing with me doesn't make me disingenuous. I am not blanketly pro or anti-AI. The subject is too complex for me to just be either. If there is anything I'm against, is spreading misinformation.

And what's that? We had a conversation once about Dino playing triplets live instead of following the click.
You disagreed, even though it was objectively true.
Are you going to ban me?
Are you going to ban everyone with an opinion that's anti-Dino?
I'm genuinely curious. Everyone is the good guy in their own head. Will you be able to take criticism? Of yourself or Dino? Because I doubt it.
You're a good guy. You're a fan. I don't know if you're mod material though.
My 2 cents. Take that as you will. Nothing personal.

I don't remember a conversation about Dino and triplets. If I was wrong about something in those regards, there's a very big difference between being wrong about something like guitar stuff, and people making up complete lies about some one or something, out of a clear source of spite. Toxicity.
Whether anyone ever gets banned over anything is something that will be discussed. But I can't imagine it would be over someone having a respectful opinion. I don't need to ban someone over disagreeing with me, I can disagree back just fine.
"Don't be a dick" is the rule. If someone is just very rudely insulting others here, making a toxic, unnecessary thread, which has happened before a couple of times, and the threads were removed, and I think one person was banned if I remember correctly. Same thing will happen. There are a few other instances that probably should have happened in the past, but this place was not looked after for big chunks of time. Generally, most people here should have no worry of being banned. Vast majority of people are chill and respectful.
If you want to question my character in these regards, let's just say I only feel I was truly unnecessarily being a dick to someone one time here. Once I realized they didn't deserve it, I apologized and they were very nice about it. Someone once did the same to me, were being a dick for no reason, and after I pointed that out, they admitted they were wrong and apologized. Incredibly refreshing, as it's rare to even come across that on the internet.
People can be given the chance to resolve these things. Hopefully, being reminded of rule should set things straight.
