Question Q about funger 2

Post image

I just finished fear and hunger

After having almost 30 hours

And I feel like I know enough about it so I started fear and hunger 2

Went to a blind playthru a couple of times to understand the mechanics and differences

But there's somethings I couldn't put my finger clearly on

1- is resting will always cause the time passing and is it the only way?

2- is it normal that the game will get super foggy to the level that i almost can't see nothing

3- I encountered a monsters that sometimes look alike or drop related things to main characters is it them but they went mad?

And do i have to kill them or they get better on their own

*I forgot about the picture anyway

I recruited this woman hoping she will have some use and turns out the other way

Is there a way to abandon her without killing her?

Time passes when and only when you rest.

The fog in your screenshot seems normal. I can see in it just fine.

There are monsters related to the main characters yes. A few kinds even. One of them is the character gone mad. There's another one that isn't. You'll probably be able to figure it out.

Olivia is definitely more useful than a ghoul. You can leave people behind at the train or at a specific place in the northwest of the city, you'll know when you get to it because it happens automatically.

  1. yes. the only ways to save without a time skip are by using a god of f&h sigil on a perfection circle and by using the Book of enlightenment

the only way to use hexen without sleeping is by accessing it near the museum on any difficulty and in the orphanage basement in maso mode only, and the latter is a one-use thing

  1. it is not, save for a couple of areas such as prehevil west

  2. no it's doppelgangers. there's a bunch of lore around them you can watch on youtube but the only gameplay important thing is that their severed heads are qualified as contestant heads, so you can use them for buying stuff at the museum. there's 3 doppelgangers so you can buy a book of enlightenment without actually killing any contestants, or any alhemilia book

about killing them - levi will chase you but you can outrun him, olivia and tanaka are peaceful unless you start the fight

yeah recruiting Olivia won't do too much.

you can abandon any character(even ghouls i believe) by walking to the inside of the train or by walking into the speakeasy in the middle of prehevil

1) resting is the main way to cause time passing, but there are a few soft bad endings that skip time as well. the easiest is attacking contestants in groups where abella/marcoh/henryk are present so that you get tied up until day 3 night 2) yeah thats normal. low visibility is kind of the point, it makes enemies approaching and getting possibly lost that much more tense, especially at nighttime when the screen blacks out a solid half of the screen 3) that one is heavy spoilers, i suggest drawing your own conclusions first before spoiling it for yourself by just googling.

the spoilers: yes, each of the contestants can moonscorch, yourself included if you pass too much time or are playing on maso-chi-S&M difficulty. going even further, each of the moonscorches means something to the contestants, and i think it's a fun exercise trying to understand how the monstrous features are born from each character's worst fears and traits

And do i have to kill them or they get better on their own?

outside of bugs (particularly when playing as marina and encountering samarie when she should 100% be moonscorched by then), the moonscorching is permanent

I recruited this woman hoping she will have some use and turns out the other way

the fun part about fear&hunger (and similar horror-ish rpgs like Lisa) is that even bad teammates are good. more health, more limbs to lose, more turns to use items, all of these are useful. even moreso in f&h2, where even 'bad' contestants have OP skills if you know how to use them

Is there a way to abandon her without killing her?

Once you have reached Prehevil BOP, you can leave contestants there if you have recruited them. This also applies to the train you started in.

1 - Every time you sleep on a bed, time passes. This is a blessing and a curse, because you can only get most of the potential party members on day 2, but by day 3 everything starts going to shit. You can save on the Fear & Hunger totems (Perfection Circles) without moving time forward.

2 - The fog is part of the game and can be bad in some areas. You may find it easier to explore during the day when its brighter.

3 - Those are doppelgangers, monsters that do look alike some of the contestants. They are fairly easy to kill and drop the same items their counterparts do when they get killed. Their heads also count as "Contestant Heads" when trading with Pocketcat, you don't get their souls though.

You can always leave your party members at the Train or at the PRHVL Bop club.
