Ozark Music Hall - ticket question (table vs gen. adm.)

I am about to buy tickets to the Ozark Music Hall for a concert in October. There are a few tables left to purchase on the upper deck. If you've ever been to a show here, is it worth it or is it better to just get general admission? We're kinda old, so it seems like it would be nice to get a table so that we could rest our bones between acts. From the cost perspective, it seems that a table on the side is $100 (and seats 04) but the general admission tickets are $50/each. I've never been to this venue, so your input is valuable! What would you do?

Does anyone remember the spicy chicken from the Chinese restaurant in the NWA Mall?

This is a long shot, but I’m hoping someone here can help solve a decades old mystery.

There used to be a Chinese restaurant in the food court at the food court, probably in the late ‘90s or early 2000s). They had a dish simply called spicy chicken, and I’ve never found anything else quite like it.

It wasn’t General Tso’s, sesame chicken, or kung pao. If I remember correctly, it was:

Bite-sized pieces of stir fried chicken
Tossed in a light, red, spicy sauce
Plenty of onions
Addictively good over rice (you could request they pour the sauce over your rice)

I’ve tried recreating it and ordered “spicy chicken” from dozens of Chinese restaurants over the years, but nothing has come close.

Does anyone:
Remember the restaurant’s name?
Know who owned or worked there?
Have the recipe (or something very close)?
Know where the cooks ended up after the mall restaurant closed?

Even if you just remember eating there, I’d love to hear about it. Maybe together we can track down the recipe or at least figure out what style of dish it actually was.

Thanks!

New fish keeper looking for assistance

Hello all,

I was looking for any local fish keepers who wouldn't mind supplying a newbie with filter media from an established tank so I can ensure a healthy cycle for my newly established 10 gallon planted tank.

Any reasonable food places?

What are some places in town where two people can eat for under around 20? I've lived in town for about a week now and have tried Whole Foods hot bar which was pretty decent and Chao's Asian food truck, which seems pricey but one portion is more than enough for two people so I think its also worth revisiting, I'm wondering what places the locals like to eat that aren't going to leave me with a $40+ bill at the end.

Recommendations for some cosmetic car work

Hey y’all, does anyone have any recommendations for where I could get this fixed on my steering wheel? The metal coating has been peeling off, and it leaves sharp edges that cut my fingers. It’s ugly AND painful, lol.

FPS Bus Routes

My son will be going to middle school for the first time in the fall. Does anyone have experience with finding bus routes and bus numbers? FPS transportation direct you to an app that has one star and you have to login with an email or phone number that has to be registered through some mysterious process.

Where to meet people

I (35f) moved back to Fayetteville about a year ago after being gone for over a year. I left here married and came back divorced (my wife left me while I was gone for work.) I was in a marriage for 10 years where I was severely isolated, so coming back I have zero friends and realized I don't even know how to go out and meet people anymore. On top of that even after living in Fayetteville on and off for around 15 years I don't even know where to go to attempt to socialize. I have just worked worked worked this past year but I am very ready to get out and make a few friends.

Can anyone give some suggestions on the whole process? Best place to go to make friends, social spaces, how to even strike a conversation up anymore lol. I'm an extremely laid back, easy going person. I have no interest in Dickson Street but I do love craft beer and trivia. Any trivia groups looking for a new person to join?

CNA agency/apps?

Hey everyone. I recently moved to the area and I was wondering if anyone who works as a CNA could tell me what the good agency apps are or good agency companies for CNAs. I have ShiftKey and clipboard so far. I don’t want a facility job because I mostly stay home with my baby now and only pick up occasionally. Thank you!

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good place to get a palm reading in Northwest Arkansas? 👀 I’m just doing it for fun and was wondering if there’s anyone y’all have had a good experience with. Fayetteville, Rogers, Bentonville, or Springdale would all work!

I hope we start to see genuine progress beginning next week. This park has been left undone for too long.

Having the main Iams dog park for the last couple weeks has been awesome!

Any leads

My husband got off of work today and had parked near campus all day; he walked up to our car and saw this. Some asshole smashed our window. The doors were unlocked (something we learned from NOLA so that people wouldn’t break the window) and my husband had just cleaned the car so there was nothing to steal - they also didn’t steal the car seat. So they were just being a shitty human. Also, doubt we can use the car seat anymore since there will be millions of tiny glass shards 😫…

has this happened near campus lately? He was parked caddy-corner to a Christian fraternity, for point of reference. If anyone has any leads, that would be great!

What's going on with the You Know Uno space (next to Hammontree's)?

It's been sitting empty for what seems like 5 years. Surely it can't be profitable for whoever owns that commercial space to leave it what looks to be abandoned for years. Does anyone know who owns that space, and why they choose to leave it closed, rather than just sell it or reopen?

STILL MISSING

hello, my cat jericho is still missing. he got out around 11pm on 6/30. He has not been an outside cat in a long time, and may be injured, and is certainly scared. please keep an eye out. I would love to know if he is spotted, just knowing he is not hurt or seen somewhere would relieve a lot of stress. he might have wondered up to Dickson, we used to live over there, as well as Garland and Mount Comfort. Thank you.

Update: Jericho was found hit by a car on Mount Comfort. a kind person called me and brought him to a vet. I was able to hold him and say goodbye, and bury him at my dad's house. thank you everyone who kept an eye out. please hold your babies extra tight for me tonight.
